Peace, Beauty and Great CareRelais Palazzo di Luglio is just a short drive up a hill from Sansepolcro, but seems to be miles away otherwise. Peaceful and relaxing along with beautiful views. We enjoyed everything, including our comfortable room. It's a great base to explore surrounding towns from. Giuliano, the owner, is responsible for making this a wonderful get away destination. He is always there with a big and warm smile. But a big part of the charm is the staff. Claudia, Mateo and Andelise were all so friendly and helpful, and immediately acted as though we had visited several times despite this being our first stay. If you can, make sure you have dinner at least one night at Relais Palazzo di Luglio. Weather permitting, you'll enjoy good food with local wine outside in a comfortable and casual manner. It's a setting that's hard to beat. Great experience.

Great location, pleasant accommodation and great hostsThis hotel is high on the hill with a great view over the Tiber valley and the town of Sansepolcro; olive groves and a garden all around. We only spent one night at the hotel, where we had a valley view from a room furnished and decorated with good taste: very clean and comfortable (just a small detail: no box of tissues.....). The owner and his staff were very courteous and apologized for the noise caused by a garden party which lasted almost until midnight; we had, however, a very good rest, and were welcomed in the morning by an exceptional breakfast in the garden, with plenty of local specialties, fresh fruit, baked goods, all served with charm and efficiency. We would certainly recommend this property.

well restored building with excellent facilities and mealsWe stayed for 2 nights and had dinner here both nights. We arrived a bit early, about half an hour before the official check in time. Nonetheless the owner / host was very friendly and welcoming, our room was ready and he showed us the room and gave us towels for use at the pool. We told him we would like to stay for dinner and he was delighted. Our oom was very old, beautifully restored and furnished with antique furniture. The was no airco but the temperature was perfect. W ha a bedroom, bathroom, and a sitting room with fridge and cooking facilities. The grounds were very well kept and the pool was large and clean. There were enough sunbeds and parasols. Dinner was typical Italian: local ingredients, nice fresh vegetables. 3 courses and coffee. The chef was the owner / host / chef and he also brought the food to our table, explained what he and cooked and how much he loved the ingredients, flavors, and the smell of the food. Food with passion! The dishes were great: lots of flavor, pure Italian herbs and fresh vegetables. The chef is well past retirement age but he gets help from a waiter or waitress when meals are served. Breakfast was also excellent: everything you would expect was available, and much more. The variety of cakes they serve for breakfast is incredible. Since Palazzo di Luglio is a working farm, they also produce thir own olive oil among other things, so we brought home 2 cans of oil of 3 liters each, after we tasted it. Altogether we loved our stay here and we hope to return some day. .
