  Excellent establishment

  What a lovely hotel! I stayed for four nights and had a great time. My room was extremely comfortable with excellent bedding, Molton Brown toiletries and a beautiful view of the castle ruins. The grounds are gorgeous and the adjacent park provided many walking opportunities. I found the staff members to be consistently friendly and professional. The breakfast was good and the aromatherapy massage was a real treat. The train station is an easy 15 minute walk away (though reception was always quick to arrange a shuttle if I was feeling lazy). From the station, Göttingen is a mere 5 minute train ride away. I used room service and I dined at the on-site restaurant a few times. I could not fault the food or the service. If you feel like recharging in an idyllic setting, this is the place to go!

  Wonderful, merveilleux, wunderbar!

  Do the hotel raters award 6 stars? For us, this hotel is perfect. Where to begin? ARRIVAL: easy route from the highway, free parking, 3 Tesla electric charger stations. Dog-friendly. RECEPTION: Friendly, efficient, welcoming staff. Home-baked cookies and fresh fruit. A wood fire in the fireplace. BREAKFAST: imaginative and delicious. ROOM: a junior suite: Immaculate,attractive, comfortable, with a balcony facing the forest in its beautiful autumn colors (October) and the castle ruin.Very good Internet/WiFi,with no log-in. Excellent hot, uncomplicated shower, Molton-Brown toiletries. A lovely woman who provides turn-down service, with chocolates. GARDEN and FOREST: Flower beds are very well-maintained.The park with its stream and little bridges is beautiful...even after a very hot summer,the grass is green and healthy. The forest is also beautiful with mt. bike trails and people paths. We look forward to our next visit.

  a little Gem

  We spent 5 nights recently at the Burghotel Hardenberg. It is situated off the beaten Path but worth the detour from the freeway. A lovely hotel (Relais and Chateau). There are two Restaurant, on is fine dining the other one Country style. Rooms vary from small to suites and most of them have a view to the old Castle ruin on the property. They have a great Wellness program and 2 golf courses as well as a beautiful Schloss Park. A very friendly staff, we certainly will return in the future.

  Wonderful and charming !

  We arrived late after a long drive and the welcome was very nice, they kept the restaurant open for us. I had the best schnitzel I ever had and the wine recommendation from the maitre could not be better. We were so glad to discover this Hotel and the area. Will return ! Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

  A good deal

  As always, the size and amenities of the rooms here belie the relatively modest price. Very good breakfast, too. It's a good stopover for autobahn travelers, convenient yet not within earshot of the road.
