    Great hospitality

I am staying in this hotel for business reasons and spend almost every week 1 night in this gorgeous retreat. The hotel is quiet, clean, and perfect for me. Breakfast is fabulous and the view around the parc and building is astonishing. The pizzeria across makes the best caprese I've eaten in my life.

Great choice for a stay in Veneto/Treviso countryside.

We did a trip with car over the mountains to see one day Venezia and to go one day on the Prosecco Road. This hotel is right in between these areas, a beautifully renovated house with little but nice rooms. Two things I missed in the room was: 1. Electric connections. Only one was available, but it was a the room entrance down at the floor, probably meant for the vacuum cleaner. Solution: disconnect light/TV/fridge to be able to connect a mobile phone or camera. 2. Even if the weather (especially in the night) was not warm at all, the rooms were hot, you should switch on the air condition even in winter!? Maybe nice to know for other guests: no elevator. bathroom with shower, towel heating, bidet and no bathtub. fridge in the room. only italian TV. they ask 15 euros per room extra if you check in after 10pm or if you want to check out after 10:30am. breakfast/chilling area with many books and glass walls. Besides that we really loved: 1. big parking space and very quiet at night. 2. Location, view and design of the hotel and around, including their own prosecco and wines. 3. information and tours offered at the reception. 4. great quality of the (included) breakfast: best eggs I had in years, freshly cut italian prosciutto, bread variation, fresh orange juice, tasty croissants, coffee offers... 5. cleaning of the room very accurate and lovely. 6. The BEST during our stay was the PIZZERIA right behind the hotel, actually they served the best pizzas and grappa we ever had.

    A real gem!

Beautiful location on the outskirts of Arcade. The bedrooms are full of character, very clean and nicely furnished. The hotel sells its own prosecco which makes a great aperitif at the end of a long day. The staff is very welcoming. I also recommend the pizzeria inside the hotel, the fact that it's packed full of locals is a great sign!

Disappointed and not the reality of the hotel's presentation.

I choose to stay at this hotel because of the presentation on their website. Being guests at an ancient house, luxurious and full of antiques, the 'aesthetic charm of history', the famous Italian designers influence on bringing the old property into the twenty first century, an unmatched quality of care - I was impressed. However the reality is that this is all spin and really a conversion of an old building some 50 metres from the noble and historic Venetian villa - which is usually closed but if open, after a one off event such as a wedding, one can have a quick look around. A guided tour costs 6 euros pp. The villa whilst impressive is not in any way part of the experience you will have in the converted hotel building. I felt disappointed because the reality is very much a three star hotel. The rooms are basically fitted, not particularly spacious, only two have French doors on the ground floor to the terrace and the remaining rooms all have small windows. There is wifi, slightly noisy a/c and a safe, limited power points for laptop etc. This is not a luxurious experience in that the soft furnishings are ordinary, the curtains have no blackout lining and do not cover the whole of the window area. The outside lights were on one of the two nights we stayed and they shone into our room all night. There is a hanging only cupboard, no drawers and a large desk top surface, a shelf as opposed to a bedside table, soft drinks only minibar, and tv (no English language channel). The king sized bed had cotton linen but only two pillows. A spare was left in the cupboard. The bathroom, already looking dated, has a small glass shelf above the sink but nowhere to put bags of toiletries. There was also a plastic stool under the sink. There is a small breakfast area for guests. The meal itself was fairly good, but masses more fresh fruit should be available instead of the bowl of grapes on offer. The first breakfast I had had stale rolls but on the second day the rolls were lovely and fresh, as were the croissants. The two cakes I tasted were delicious and on the second day I noticed there were oranges which could be squeezed for juice. Ham and boiled eggs were also available. The front of house are charming and couldn't be more helpful but they are obviously restricted in the service they can give, given the limitations of the hotel itself. There is also a small lounge area adjacent to the breakfast section where drinks can be ordered from the front desk. This whole space in conjunction with the check in desk is really one room sectioned off. It is not spacious. Parking for guests is across the road in the car park of an adjacent school. The grounds, or Park as described on the website, are primarily behind and around the main Villa and what you would expect for a house of its age. However, other than a stroll around, there is no reason to spend time there. The grounds outside the hotel building (not the Villa) are laid to lawn (they needed a mow) with a couple of tables and chairs to sit and and have a drink. There are no leisure or entertainment facilities on offer within the hotel perimeter. Adjacent there is another converted fine old building which seems to house amongst other things a pizzeria (closed on Tuesday) and which by all accounts is excellent. It appeared to be a separate business to the hotel. The hotel does not serve set meals, has no restaurant, but apparently snacks can be prepared. My husband and I had drinks served outside which arrived with a couple of lovely canapés.There are some excellent restaurants in the vicinity which the front desk can advise on. I think the owners of this property should travel around somewhat and experience what other hotels are offering these days. This is not luxury in today's standard but an average hotel experience with an adjacent historic Villa nearby. Certainly it would best suit business travellers who need a bed for the night. For the tourist, travelling around the Venetian hinterland one night would be enough. Two was too much.

    Arcade stay

We have been 12 people for 4 nights in the hotel in September. 8 rooms taken. The location of the hotel is perfect. Not far from Venice, not far from shopping outlets, depends on Your interests. Family running business, where you can meet the owner seating in the reception. Hello to Caterina :) The staff helped us with the cars rental, with the programm what to do in Italy, where to eat and what to see, always opened minded and ready to help, if needed. Breakfast has not so big choise, but has excellent selection, exactly what do you need, good as for children, as for adults. Everybody of us were happy. Rooms are not big, but equipped with everything. Daily housekeeping. Territory is very big, green, coisy. Free parking in front of the hotel. For sure will come again. Thank you for all Caterina!
