  Good

  Staying in Nanjing for a night was superb!!!!!!!!!!! i love this place every year i am vising this place every time i enjoyed this place. Once i came here i feel shanghai. hotel offers a clean room, a nice bathroom and a comfy bed. Room was so good and well decorated. a bit problem but im always adjustable need to find restaurant. overall it is a good experience

  Would go back for the people!

  First of all i would like to let travelers know that this hotel is on the outskirts of Nanjing. It is really far away and if your going to take a cab from the Train Station then make sure you have all the directions written in Chinese for your cabbie cause most of them will not know where it is. Other then the fact that it was secluded and very far away from the city and all the sight seeing we absolutely LOVED it! THe staff and the people made up for any inconvenience because they were so warm friendly and accommodating. They were genuinely interested in making sure all their guests enjoyed their stay! Every evening we would take a bike from the hotel and cycle down to the market which was a lot of fun:-) On our last night there their manager John took us out for the yummiest meal of our trip to the local BBQ and gave us a taste of the local life! We will be forever grateful to him because he introduced us to some fantastic dishes that improved the culinary experience for the rest of our trip in china. The rooms were beautiful with huge bathrooms and balconies with stunning views! Their massage at their spa was wonderful as well. The only disappointing experience for us was the hot spring tub bath that was exorbitantly priced and summed up to a basic hot water tub bath. I would definitely not recommend you waste money to get one unless its in your room. John, Robin and all the other lovely people at Regalia thank you for a lovely time we are looking forward to seeing all of you again!

  Disappointing overall

  There are definitely some positives here, but the negatives outweigh them, especially at the price point. Pros: beautiful, secluded setting; lots of kid activities (fishing! cotton candy making! trampoline! goats!); large, clean rooms; excellent service by the train station pick up van--order in advance. Cons: in general, the attention to detail that should be expected at this type of establishment is sorely lacking. No reliable English service (which didn't matter to us as we can speak Chinese but was surprising); tired-looking decor; confusing info about restaurant locations and times; a seasonal pool that was already out of service at end of Sept and was left to become green and yucky; very average breakfast buffet that often ran out of things--like milk and spoons--even at 8 am; no instructions at check in or in the room about wireless and then wifi functional only half the time; multiple lightbulbs out in the rooms, etc. At check in we were asked to put down a 10,000 RMB deposit ($1500 US!!) and were treated like idiots when we expressed great surprise. Throughout our stay, we got the impression that the staff was either poorly trained or just unmotivated--with one or two notable exceptions, especially the restaurant manager. Overall I don't think I would recommend.

  Hot spring rooms

  Excellent place to just stay and relaxmy kids enjoyed the place especially the hot spring in the room... The staff were excellent John the manager there took excellent personal care of us . Few of the staff can also speak English. John along with his local staff took us to a local barbecue, we wanted spicy and they really made it spicy . Special to try was barbecue egg plant and bread. Chicken and mutton was also very nice. Hotel restaurant break fast had a good spread and Tom yum soup has to be tasted here very authentic. We also went to strawberry picking and also enjoyed horse riding in a nearby stud farms. We were offered a good deal for upgrading our room. They have good movie area and kids area with table food ball and Xbox games. Huge outdoor trampoline. Restaurant menu has good Asian dishes we tried Malaysian fried rice which was great. This place is also nearby to many hot spring places where you can do hot spring pool hopping. Very kids friendly place , you can take free bicycles from this place to go around . They also have a special arrangement to go to a nearby outlet where free giant wheel Ride can be got by showing hotel card free of cost. Overall we stayed for three days we were never bored. Also a good weekend getaway from shAnghai or Nanjing city. Looks like very well managed property. Will go back again.....I have to mention all the staff who I interacted very helpful and showed genuine interest in making our stay comfortable. A big thanks to all , cheers!!

  Relax - perfect for family

  That's a very good place to relax and enjoy hot spring in the room. The room are big and easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. Wifi very slow. Breakfast doesn't have too many choices but good enough both Asian and Western. Many activities for kids ( horse riding, cooking class, bicycles, basketball) There is a room for drawing. A cinema. A room with a playstation, ping pong, mahjong. The restaurant menu is simple , just ok. Prices are good. That's really a nice place especially if you have kids. We didn't try the swimming pool as it is outside and the weather wasn't good. All staff were very friendly
