Outdated hotel in poor locationThis hotel was chosen by the tour company and definitely would not be my choice. The hotel is located near the airport - meaning there's nothing around it and it is quite far from the city centre and all the interesting things. The rooms are spacious and comfortable enough even though they are quite outdated and with quite noisy AC. The breakfast was average as well but you could definitely find something to eat. The biggest issue I had was the bathroom - it was quite claustrophobic, with very low ceiling, mold on the tiles in the shower, stains on the toilet and sink, sneezing taps and towels that beg for change. The bathroom alone guaranteed a poor review but everything else was also quite mediocre - would not recommend.

Poor rooms upkeeps at ground floorGround floor rooms are small, dingy and not in a good condition.. The upper floor rooms shared by our group was in a much better condition....probably they do'nt invest into staff !!!! we stayed there for only less than 22 hrs, and found poor Mr Babur doing a duty of more than 24 hrs !!! Good breakfast, Good restaurant, busy hotel because of closeness to Airport....should improve on many aspects like in room services, Electric Kettle,Intercom !!!!!

Do Avoid this hotelOur Story: We're a family group of 12 (15 - 75 yrs) international tourists, stayed for 1 night in July 2019 in six rooms. Arrived around 4pm, check in was swift. Good: We're all on the 4th floor. Rooms are of good size (all of our rooms were twin beds). Indoor pool and Gym on site (visited the pool, didn't use - Pool booking required beforehand). Good sized property. Bar on site (didn't use) Breakfast - not bad, a bit more than basic. Toasts and eggs made to order (in addition to usual basic stuff) Fresh fruit platter was nice (Melons and watermelons) Not good: Location - quite lonely, literally next to Samarkand Airport (property shares a common wall). Food - Nothing available except during breakfast time. 300 meters away from some shops/parade/restaurant on the opposite side (didn't try those) AC (air conditioner) was dodgy/bad/not working in 4 out of 6 rooms. Changed 2 of those 4 rooms. No hot water in the shower the next morning. Verdict - This isn't a run down place. Perhaps the 'management' doesn't care about guest experience. A great potential for an international chain/savvy business to revamp/resurrect this property. Seemed adequately staffed during the early day (helpful bunch) - saw very few staff in the evening. Didn't see many customers either. Stay in/around the city centre and avoid this place...definitely don't need this hotel after the 'high' you get from Samarkand sights.
