  The staff are helpful and friendly the rooms are spotless The decor modern and bright fused with an antique feel The breakfast is the best you would get anywhere I will certainly return and recommend to all who have no need to use a lift

  Charcoal Mess Breakfast

  Having a home emergency was really thankful this hotel putting me and my family up. I did have a pleasant sleep here. It is peaceful and all the staff i met were friendly. Thank you. The rooms are dated with old furniture but clean enough. I was shocked at the rooms. The bathroom was clean. The bed was clean that is all that matters to me. I have heard this hotel is getting a much needed refurbishment! I hope this is true as it would make a brilliant hotel and would love for it to suceed. I was put in room 17 and I did complain as the window was cracked to pieces then they put me in room 8, and there was a bad dusty smell with stains on the clean bed linen they obviously put on. There is different furniture in every room, which I find bizarre in my opinion. It looks as though the furniture fell off the back of a skip, there is holes, marks on every piece of furniture and dirty marks on wall but you can tell how much the staff love this hotel as the maid said she loves her job. Ate in the restaurant and that wasn't great. The food has went downhill. As i said i couldn't be more thankful to the staff & you will get a great sleep. Very quiet hotel. The breakfast setting is beautiful with a roaring fire, i would not recommend the breakfast. You can help yourself to the normal juices like orange & apple & milk for your cereal however they are hot. The milk was hot and i do think they are in need of coolers like other hotels. I left my cereal then the cooked breakfast came, it was awful. Being put down to me, was a black charcoal mess, everything was BLACK, looked like they just piled it up as high as they could on the plate & there is far too much on the breakfast. 3 sausages. Eggs not nice. Toast was not cooked etc.

  Nice hotel conveniently close to transports

  We stayed here for 5 nights after Christmas. The twin room was nice and clean, and also very quiet. Only downside : the temperature on the shower is very hard to set. Breakfast was very nice, we chose something different every day and all of our dishes were good. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

  Redhurst Hotel

  Lovely clean hotel and a bargain at £54 for the night, including breakfast. Although the rooms are dated, it was spotless and provided tea, coffee (including tunnocks caramel wafers) as well as plenty of towels and shower gels etc. Really comfy bed and room was adequately heated. They just need to put in a tv that is up to date as ridiculously small The bar area also needs done up, however, there was a Burns Supper in the main entertaining room and the room, tables etc looked first class. Breakfast was excellent and was also table service, which you dont get very often these days. It was a really nice plate and well presented on a square plate consisting of bacon, eggs (of your choice), link and square sausage, black pudding, haggis, bacon and beans as well as toast and coffee or tea. This kept me going all day The young lad serving was also really polite, confident and presented really well. Overall, if you can put up with the outdated furniture in the rooms etc. I was pleasantly surprised at the value for money that I got, especially the breakfast and service of the breakfast team

  Fantastic function

  Hired the Redhurst hotel for my sons 21st party, Lorraine & Lesley were fantastic from the start planning party, booking family rooms A warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the night & stay. All staff were amazing. Would recommend this for any event great for family & overnights
