  If youre looking for quaint and quiet this hotel isnt for you!

  Dont let the phrase boutique hotel fool you here. I had one of the most unpleasant stays at the RedEarth recently and I would warn anyone in advance before staying here for future stays. The hotel is situated directly above the Isa Hotel and the noise levels are beyond a joke. Theres also a function room located directly underneath the rooms which holds events until midnight. The noise levels within the rooms is unacceptable for the prices charged After 9pm there are no staff members working within the reception area so trying to address the issue is near impossible. The after hours duty managers were extremely unhelpful The lift within the hotel was out of order so the only access to your room was up two flights of stairs. No assistance is offered with your bags so its up to you to lug your stuff. Not an easy task if youre an older traveler If the hotel is looking to be branded as boutique and charge accordingly there should be far better management or restrictions of noise levels after 9/10pm. Its just unrealistic to charge what they do unless it was rebranded as just a stock standard motel above a pub. At least youd know in advance what you were getting yourself in for

  Dont believe the good reviews - TERRIBLE!!

  The check-in ladies were friendly & helpful, however obviously lacked training. ... it all went south from there. THE most expensive hotel in Mt Isa ... there was a party in the next room (on the outdoor balcony with stereo) & continued into the night. Lights werent working in the room, dirty fridge & the ashtray on the balcony had not been emptied. WOW what a start!! We were planning quiet night in room with room service - but no slippers / bathrobes & noise next door we went downstairs to bar. We were asked to scan the COVID checkin app, but we were then seated at a dirty table (still with empty glasses on it) ... they cleared the glasses BUT I had to then find a waiter to come & wipe /disinfect the table. We then ordered food ... TERRIBLE!!!!! My grilled prawns came out with 4 tiny frozen prawns microwaved in a sauce that was SO HOT it burned my mouth ... with garlic bread on side ... definitely not what I expected - really disappointed. My Husbands pork dish was ok - not outstanding. We let the waiter know but he didnt care. We then had 1 last drink at our table- I hadnt finished my drink when the waitress came up, stuck her fingers in my glass & went to take it away.... when I told her I hadnt finished she put it back on table for me to have it back AFTER PUTTING HER FINGERS INSIDE THE GLASS !!!! Omg .... we went up to our room & tried to sleep - but because of the noise & small lumpy bed ... not a great experience.

  Pleasant experience, liked the large room size and decor. Centrally located and clean. Room facilities were good e.g., coffee/tea. Front desk staff were pleasant and cheerful. Overall, good experience and I would return.

  Holiday

  We were staying 4 nights at this hotel in a $200 plus room so I was disappointed that for this rate we had a bed that was small and had a collapsed mattress. It was not possible for 2 people sleeping on this bed. The other disappointing matter was a creaking bathroom door that was most annoying. This a advertised as a Boutique hotel so thats what one expects when it comes to the comfort of rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant top class.

  Fantastic overnight stay

  We stayed overnight on our way to Alice Springs & were so pleasantly delighted. The young girl at reception was so friendly & helpful. The bar team were fantastic cocktail mixers & also offered us a free dessert when one of our mains wasn't quite right. The room itself was really big & had one of the best spa baths I've seen in a hotel!! We experienced no noise from the hotel below nor had any negative experience. Would definitely stay again if we were passing through.
