  Clean and comfortable

  We were pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will absolutely love to stay here again. The price was in our budget. The air conditioning was awesome especially for July in Texas.

  Great Stay and Great Value

  I had driven down from Dallas and decided that I would stop off in East Texas on the way. I had booked this hotel very last minute, as in a short time before I arrived. The location was great just off the I45 and good access to downtown Huntsville as well as shops and amenities. I arrived quite late and was warmly welcomed by a very friendly member of the team who also was a student Sam Houston University and worked night shift for extra money. He really was great and very personal and also gave some interesting information about Huntsville and the surrounding area. For the price paid the room had everything that you would need, was clean, comfortable and fast WIFI access. I had a room located on the ground floor which was easily accessible. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom was of a good size. This is a small hotel which offers great value and I was really happy with my choice. There is no breakfast included however there is complimentary hot coffee available in the lobby area which is a nice touch. To the side of the hotel there is also a small pool area where you can sit and relax. There is ample parking available too. All of the staff that I encountered at this hotel really were very friendly and made staying at this hotel a real bonus and certainly would make me want to return. Overall a great value, budget hotel and thank you for a great stay.

  I left a piece of my heart at Red Roof Inn, Huntsville Texas!

  I came to Huntsville for work. My client had booked me 3 nights at the Red Roof Inn. The room was much nicer than I expected, fluffy bedding, clean, lots of towels. The hotel had a Starbucks coffee machine downstairs that was a lifesaver. But this review is not about the amenities, its about the service and hotel staff. The woman who checked me in Tuesday afternoon was named Robin. Robin was warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. She provided suggestions about local dining and was super accommodating. It wasn't until I met her sister, Mary (who worked the front desk for morning shift) that I realized this was not an ordinary hotel. These two sisters are the soul and beating heart of this little hotel. The 4 days that I stayed here was an experience I will never forget. The sisters had made a connection not just with me, but with many of the guests. In my short stay here, I found myself becoming a part of a community. I am still struck by the warmth and kindness these two sisters treated me to during my stay. I can honestly say that by the time I left, I was truly sad to say goodbye. There is something very special and unique about this Red Roof Inn next door to DQ in Huntsville Texas. I left with a lingering feeling that when I checked out of this little Red Roof Inn...I left a piece of my heart in room 203. To all of the staff, including housekeeping and the graveyard front desk clerk who was quiet but very polite, also, to the fun and hilarious guests who stayed at this hotel the same week as I did... it was a pleasure meeting all of you. I will miss drinking coffee in the lobby early mornings before work and hanging out by the pool, sharing stories of our travels and life journey. Thank you Robin and Mary....XOXOXO

  GROSS GROSS GROSS

  I don't write many reviews, but this one needs to be written. I don't know where all of the good reviews came from, but I was unpleasantly surprised at the low quality of this hotel. The rooms hallway smelled HORRIBLE!!! Either something died or the carpet was soiled with poop. There was a roach in one of our rooms. The floor in my room was in poor shape as was the overused old red couch. There was spatter on the TV, and stains on the comforter. I was embarrassed that I had recommended this hotel to our coach for the team. But I went off of reviews. There is NO WAY this hotel should have 4 circles!! The only good thing was the front desk ladies. They were really sweet. This is more like a pay by the hour hotel or a no tell motel.

  Worst hotel in town

  I hate giving bad reviews, but this place is a nightmare. My first clue was while I was checking in, a lady came down stars 4 times to get her key card redone. It never worked obviously. Then, as we took our key to our room, we could not get in. After four tries, the maintenance man came out (not wearing a mask) and let us in. He told us he would be back later with workable keys. He never did. The lady at the front desk was nice. I felt sorry for her as every customer apparently went through that scenario. I wouldnt recommend this hotel at all, just based on my treatment, plus what I observed.
