Very considerateI came here one evening (in the middle of the night) due a severe allergic reaction to some insulation being removed in my home. The staff was very kind and, without my asking, scheduled me for a late check out so I could get rest in a good environment. I will not forget their kindness or compassion and will highly recommend the Red Roof in Yorktown.

Home away from Home! When they say 'pet friendly' they really mean it! This is the best place I've ever stayed. Everyone is so friendly. Scott and Ryan and the rest of the staff are awesome. Very clean and accommodating. We will be back. The most comfortable bed I've had on this trip. I highly recommend the Red Roof Inn in Yorktown.

Only Good Part is Rooms Were Mostly Clean...First of all, the website has a glitch. Reservations were showing that I canceled, and I got charged for a might that I know I canceled. Second of all, the free breakfast was only RasinBran or Special K with milk, NOTHING else. I forgeited sleeping an extra hour for nothing. Third, the website say check-out is 12pm, and checkout is actually 11am. I was not told this by the guy who checked me in, nor was I told what time bran flakes were being served in the morning. I found out when we arrived back at the room from going to pick up a real breakfast from Waffle House and found the manager/owner outside our room asking us if we are going to pay for another night. I said no, the website said checkout is at 12, he said okay no problem. 20 mins later he is calling the room asking again if we are checking out or paying for another night. Fourth, the only soap in our room was an opened bar that was used by someone else. Oh, and when we arrived around midnight the night before, there was a creep guy with long hair standing in the dark near bushes in the back corner of the hotel parking lot staring at the bushes, digging in his butt, talking to himself, and waving is hands in the air at nobody. We called the police and they checked him out. We saw him walk by outside the hotel the next morning, so maybe he was staying there, but I think that makes it worse. Lastly, there was no do not disturb sign for the door knobs! Housekeeping opened our door at 9am while my family and I were sleeping! This hotel used to be pretty nice, but I think ownership changed, and now it's sketchy and I will not return or reccomend. Only good thing was it was mostly clean, but is was dingy and the room numbers were falling of the wall.

Horrible experienceWhere to begin!?! We checked in on July 11 around noon because the room was ready apparently because most travelers were smart enough to go somewhere else. As soon as I checked into room 223 I saw that the rooms looked NOTHING LIKE THE WEBSITE. I also noticed that the bedspread was covered in black spots, the sheets were dirty and there was a very questionable stain on the dust ruffle. I mean yes I travel pet friendly but we still deserve to have a clean room like everyone else. So we changed to room 323. I walked in the door and immediately saw that the bedspread in that room was also dirty so I called to request a clean one and the one they brought was the exact one from the previous room. We just chocked that up as a loss and it stayed in the corner of the room for the remainder of the week. Mid-week I take my dog out at around 4 in the morning and was appalled when I saw 4 of the employees congregating in front of the hotel smoking when no one was at the desk but that was only half of it. The pet policy clearly states that your pet must be leashes when out of your room and one of the employees had a rather large dog named Lily that ran into the vestibule toward my dog growling and was not on a leash and she didn't have a collar on until her owner put it on her and when I said something she just simply replied that they weren't used to people bringing their dogs out in the middle of the night.... because the hotel employees clearly are so busy gossiping instead of cleaning the hotel and linens. Not to mention the fact that I ha e seen better mattresses taken to the landfill and usually when you have a 43 room hotel they are supposed to have smoke alarms. Also, if the maintenance man is always there sitting outside with a cigarette in his face then maybe he should try to fix the air conditioning. It sounded like a jackhammer and no matter what you believe you shouldn't ever think it is okay to drop the F bomb in front of guests. And to the owners, they may want to put the handicapped accessible parking closest to the door instead of using it for their personal vehicle.

Great serviceStayed 2 nights in October 2020. Very friendly staff. Have a dog and needed to find a place that was reasonable for pets. (Some places have a surcharge of $75.00+ for pet) the room was very nice (for a pet friendly hotel) it was obvious that my dog was not the first dog to try to eat the carpet. This is a pets stay free hotel!, i see some reviews that seem to be comparing this hotel to a 5 star luxury hotel. This place is a 5 star pet hotel. It is clean and family owned. We will be back!
