BewareWe stayed here in August 2020 and, while the stay was not perfect (not the cleanest Red Roof Inn weve ever stayed at nor did I feel particularly safe), it was not worth my time to write a crappy review. Since then, however, four months after our stay in August, we were arbitrarily charged $50+ for a December reservation we did not make. We contacted the hotel directly and were told we were a no-show for an online reservation, but when we contacted Red Roof Inns customer service we were informed this was an in-person/walk-up reservation. When we explained that we did NOT make a reservation for December (neither on-line nor in-person) we were provided with our August confirmation as proof otherwise. We continued to dispute the charge, but in the end Red Roof Inns Franchise Operations Director responded with: Occasionally, we are unable to resolve a situation as a customer has requested. After reviewing your case, we regret to inform you that this appears to be one of those instances. BEWARE - if youve ever stayed here, monitor your credit card activity closely and be ready to contact your financial institution, because the corporate policy seems to be to look the other way. We will no longer be patrons of any Red Roof Inns.

Accused of stealing a blanket and my credit card was charged $100.00. Beware! We have stayed many times on our seasonal trip to Florida for the winter. It has always been nice. This November was different. The accessible room I had reservations for reeked of cigarette smoke. We were given another. It was not as clean as it has been in the past. The ice machine was broken. That we can live with. Another guest attempted to enter our room and I explained it was already rented. Things happen, but when our credit card was charged $100.00 on top of the charge for the room. I called them and they said we stole a blanket. Absolutely not true! Why would we steal a used blanket? I have also been in contact with my credit card company to dispute this additional charge. So far there has been no response for rectification of this. I also have an email into the corporate office. There has been no response from either the hotel or corporate.. The hotel chain doesn't have the courtesy to answer or return my calls. I am an active Senior with many friends that travel. I will definitely share my experience with them. Please respond? Thank you Beth Hierholzer

Begrudgingly allowing petsCorporate policy is to welcome pets but this local hotel is not welcoming at all. Numerous off limits areas plus threat of calling authorities if they dog is unattended in room or vehicle. Of course one will pick up after the dog but all of the big trash cans on the premises were all more than overflowing and feral cats and rodents were aplenty. Fine for pet hair in the room when the fire mashaal should fine them for lack of smoke detectors.
