    One night, one night too long

    WeVe stayed in Red Lions for over 50 years. This one is absolutely the worst ever. Dirty bed covers, unclean toilets, wall and floors. Nearly impossible to turn the shower on and the bath towels are super thin. Definitely do not recommend.

    Sleep in you car first. Do NOT stay here

    Booked on Priceline. Checked in and got key. Went to room and it was occupied!! Clientele appears to be local meth heads. Run, dont walk from this train wreck. Front desk refused to give me back my driver license copy. How any chain would let this place operate with their name on it is beyond me. Trust me, dont!!!!!!!

    Just DON'T

    Made the mistake of having my husband book the hotel for me while I was driving. I wanted the Red Lion Hotel in Redding which I have stayed at before, but my GPS for the reservation took me here instead. Um....where to start? The area in general felt unsafe. The "lobby" is very small and neither the desk clerk, or her friend who was talking to her were wearing masks. I checked in despite my misgivings, because I just needed a place to sleep. When I pulled around the back of the building, there were all kinds of people hanging out in the parking area, many of them were cooking, like, I don't know, maybe they live there? I felt I was being watched as I unloaded my car, and felt uncomfortable leaving it there even though it was locked. A guy and his girlfriend were having a big yelling match in the parking lot. I had to walk past multiple people hanging out on the railing smoking with their room doors open (again, kind of like maybe the lived there) to get to my room. The room was filthy! There were stains on the bedspread, sheets, and pillowcases. They did not look like they had been actually laundered. The door had a huge gap in it when locked (I could see daylight through it) and didn't feel secure. I stood in the middle of the room and honestly didn't want to even sit down or touch anything. I started adding up the chances of bedbugs, Covid, witnessing domestic violence, being murdered in my sleep, and having my car stolen or broken into and just walked out. I don't even care about losing my money. I am honestly not a very picky person when it comes to hotels, and I can overlook a lot, but this place should be condemned.

    Clean and Quiet for a night

    Super nice location especially since I was hauling a trailer and heading southbound. Literally right off the freeway! Staff was really nice and room was clean and quiet. The man at the front desk recommended Lumberjacks and it did not disappoint. Will be staying again when driving through next month

    PLEASE. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE.

    PLEASE. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. The 5-star reviews are fake, bots, or paid-off. IN SUMMARY: stains + hair on the bed & in bathroom, terrible room smells, unhelpful-to-absent customer service, and unexplained card charges. Checked in & left only an hour later! 1) We booked & paid for a 2-bed room in advance through RCI, and when we arrived, they told us they had no 2-bed rooms, and there was no card on file. They gave us two single-bed rooms for the price of one, which was nice (at first...) 2) When we went into the rooms, the first was... bearable. A broken bedside table and a slightly-stained toilet, but besides that, clean bed, and no smell. The SECOND room... super-stained bed with hairs. Dirty bathroom sink, and a blood stain on the shower curtain. Went downstairs, and when I asked for a new room & explained why, the only guy at the desk didn't even apologize or investigate. He just gave me a new room. The NEW room had a cleanER bed and bathroom than the first, but still had residual sheet stains, and an awful locker-room smell. 3) We went to the front desk for a refund. There was a different person at the desk. When we asked for the refund, she told us that she "didn't have the ability to do that," so we'd have to call the manager in the morning. Her solution was to "check us out from the room" as if we'd stayed there, so that we'd have a receipt for reference. We just asked her to cancel the reservation, but she said she didn't know how to do that. We asked her for an email address for the manager, and she said she didn't have that. What the HELL.... 4) We left believing we'd paid $70.55 in total, but we checked the credit account we used, and there is a pending charge for $90.55, and another charge for $20.00. We've called our credit card company, who have told us they will refund us once we have actually been charged (if the hotel does not refund us...). We will definitely be calling if they DO charge us. Will also be searching for an email address as well. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE.
