Not what it used to be!I have stayed at this property many times over the past 30 years and have always had a good experience. NOT THIS TIME! I must say that the staff was very nice but they desperately need more staff. The tv in the first room did not work - they said that they would call maintenance to come fix it. 15 minutes later, we were told that they didnt have a maintenance person. Finally, we were told that we could move rooms. It is hard to move at the end of a long day with a 2 year old and a 4 year old and all of the things that go along with them. They had all of their things unpacked and spread everywhere. When we got moved, we were done in and tried to order room service. After trying to call several times and not getting an answer, we finally got through and were told that they didnt have anyone to bring room service but we could place an order to go and then come and get it! I explained that with little hungry kids, that wasnt going to work! They finally found someone to bring it. We are currently waiting to see if that will happen. One time when I was calling and I let it ring and ring, it must have switched to the front desk. The lady yelled at me that I needed to call room service not her! The rooms are huge, which is wonderful with little ones but they desperately need updated. The first room that we had had a horrible odor. Musty. For a nonsmoking room, there were cigarette butts stuck in the brickwork on the patio! I guess someone was smoking and saved their smokes for later! The beds had no comforters! Maybe they were supposed to be comforters but really not much more than thin white sheets. We have always stayed here when we were catching an airplane the next morning. I see that they have built other hotels close to the airport we will start staying at one of those.

Poor, outdated hotelHonestly I dont know how this hotel is still operating in the condition its in. Its a huge property with so much potential but it is SO outdated and dirty!!!! Its like stepping back into the 60s or 70s, seriously. Not a lick of updating has been done. The rooms smell like urine. The carpet is filthy and everything is soo old and worn out. This hotel needs some serious TLC. The staff was very nice but I must say there were some housekeepers cleaning a room in the same pod as me at 11pm-12am in the night/morning! Chatting, carrying on conversation, loudly for all to hear. It was rather rude and obnoxious. I would not stay again. There are plenty of other new hotels in the area that Im sure will eventually drive this place under.

Poor Restaurant ManagementI seldom leave negative reviews. However, I have to say something. I was here for a convention that is always at this hotel at this time of year so restaurant management should have been prepared. On our first visit to Seasons restaurant on Friday we had four different servers coming by to take our order. Not one of them knew which tables were hers. One told us they were all new and hadnt been given clear instructions. Our next visit was to the Grizzly Bar. We sat at our table for over 20 minutes watching three servers running around aimlessly. Not one acknowledged us although one of the servers had time to flirt with the cute guy in the corner. I finally gave my order to the bar tender who sent a server over to our table to take the order a second time. The absolute last worst straw was Saturday at lunch. Although there were plenty of open tables and staff racing around, there was no one at the host stand. I was in line 15 minutes waiting to be seated. In that time I saw at least one party get up and leave because no one took their order. I was finally seated by the manager and got my order taken and served promptly. Yay! Then I was told I had to pay at the cashier not at the table. I waited in line another 15 minutes to pay for my meal. The cashier was also the barista making lattes. The sad thing is, every person I encountered was friendly and wanted to be helpful. They just didnt appear to be trained. I am left with one question. Why would a hotel that hosts an annual convention the same time every year not staff its restaurant and bar adequately with trained personnel?

GET NEW KEY CARD READERSThe staff is extremely friendly and accommodating; hotel is clean enough and presents well in the lobby. My stays here are often due to business and the location and prices are reasonable. With that said, the rest of the hotel is old, run down, many of the outside doors do not work properly allowing people to enter without key cards many times or the keys just dont work. The key card readers on the doors look like they are going to fall off at times & literally EVERY time I stay, I have to replace my keys AT LEAST once. No, I do NOT put it near my cell phones, credit cards, etcI used to tell ppl the same when I worked at a hotelthe key card readers just plain suck. I know that times are difficult to the current pandemic situation so Thank you for finally opening some of your facility (ie gym by appt, restaurant) with appropriate precautions. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update your key card readers/door locks!

Great placeI dont understand why this place gets some bad reviews. It might be a little older but the place has character and all the rooms are different depending on which wing youre in. Im here frequently and I dont understand why someone would pay 40 or $50 more to stay at one of the other hotels by here when this one gives me everything I want. It has a large TV and every room has a fridge and a microwave and it has free Wi-Fi with the work desk. The funniest has excellent service and if it wasnt for Covid theres restaurant right here so I dont have to leave to go out for dinner.
