  fui hace unos dias y me quede por una noche, el hotel estaba todo en restauracion, el casino muy malo, un poco sucio. las habitaciones estan bien, sin llegar a ser lo que un hotel de ese precio te ofrece, el hotel queda cerca del aeropuerto.

  Too pricey for rooms

  We stayed one night at The Red Lion in Elko, NV on our way to Idaho. We chose Red Lion because it had a casino with table games. Well, first off, we wanted to play Roulette, but the one table they had never opened that night, even after I asked. Then, we chose not to eat at the Coffee garden because it was in the middle of the smoky casino. How can you enjoy your meal smelling all that horrible cigarette smoke? Also, looking forward to swimming, but the pool was closed due to Covid. On to the room now: The room seemed old, air conditioner super loud all night, no extra blanket in the room! One tiny roll of toilet paper left. Then when you went to get ice, all the ice machines were out of order. You had to get ice from the casino bar, which was a super long walk from our room. The Red Lion was definitely not worth the $112 we spent! Will never stay there again. Huge disappointment!

  Dont stay here.

  Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The room smelled like an ashtray. The fridge smelled funny and made lots of noise. The staff laughed at my problems. Worst hotel Ive stayed at this year and Ive been all over the country.

  Find another place to stay

  We stayed one night at Red Lion Elko and it was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The non smoking room and bedding smelled like an ashtray, there were water stains all over the sliding glass door and there was no hair dryer. We couldnt wait to check out of there.

  Thank goodness we got a deal on Hotel Tonight

  I assume we were put in the "old" wing because the room looked nothing like the pics and everything was old. The beds were uncomfortable, the sheets were too small for the mattresses and were torn, the shower was barely a trickle, no light bulbs in the lamps. You get the idea. We made an appointment the night before to use the gym, which was fine, but both treadmills were broken. I tried to get a bottle of water out of four different vending machines and none worked. I saw rows of bottled water yet the machines said "sold out." On the upside, every staff member we encountered was friendly and polite. Yes, all the common areas smelled like smoke, but it's a casino. I get it. The room was clean if not comfortable, and Covid protections appeared to be in place. Also, our dinner at Aspens Bar and Grill was fantastic. The ambiance was dark and romantic, and the wine recommended by our server was delicious. My bf had a Caesar with crab cakes and both were fresh and delicious. (Yes, crab cakes in Elko, NV!) I had a Caesar with shrimp. Simple? Yes. But a really nice dinner at the end of a long day of driving was much appreciated. Two salads, four mixed drinks (at $5 each) and two glasses of wine (at $14 each) resulted in a $120 dinner with tip. Overall, the rooms need to be seriously overhauled to be worth the $110 other people paid. Using Hotel Tonight, ours was $60, so I didn't feel ripped off.
