Do not stay hereThis is my second encounter with this hotel. The first time I had to switch rooms due to a big hole in the wall. The second time I had to switch hotels ( I do recommend second hotel Country inn and Suites). Last night as I was falling asleep another guest entered my room and turned on the lights. I did have the security bar on but it didnt stop them from completely coming in. And as a female who travels alone for business every weekend this absolutely scared the life out of me. At this point I have still not fallen asleep because I am still shaken up. Their resolution was a free breakfast and a I dont know whats going on with our computer system. When I left there were more guest complaining regarding room issues and I didnt stay to listen. So unless you want to take the chance of being seen while sleeping and people walking in on you I would advise not to stay here!!!!!!! This is my first negative review on anything.

Needs updatedThis hotel is very dated. The rate was okay but should be much lower due to the dated rooms. Our room had stained bedding and carpet. The lobby smelled musty and the staff wasnt very friendly or helpful.

Stay awayI don't like writing bad reviews but have to here. First they show nice photos of the atrium lobby online but when we checked in we were put in the back in a 2 story motel type building next to where they had their trashed furniture piled outside. The desk chair in our room should have been there (see photo). Room smelled, hair left in bathroom, a toilet seat that was so loose we almost fell off when sitting on it and a tv with reception so bad you couldn't watch any show! I could say more but that's enough for now. Only stayed one night and will not be back and will probably avoid Red Lions in the future.

Want Third-ish World Accommodations? Stay here!Aside from being a complete dump (the other reviews ARE TRUE), the staff is also very unfriendly and uninformed. They made a terrible stay even worse with their reluctancy to address problems with our accommodations and offered no refund or recourse for truly providing some of the worst service in the industry. Do yourself a favor and FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY. If you like being treated like $#!+, bugs, trash and wasting money - THIS IS YOUR PLACE! If not, RUN, don't walk. PS - The hotel shuttle is a disaster if you get in after hours and any chance of reaching someone in a timely manner to sort it out is dismal. Rating: F- Overall Experience: DISGUSTING

CLOSEDCLOSED The sudden apparent closure comes as both the hotel's owner, Inner Circle Investments of Florida, and the Red Lion corporate brand are undergoing financial struggles. This summer, Florida-based Inner Circle filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in Florida under the name 5500 Midland Land, which operates the hotel. The company listed between $50 million and $100 million in liabilities, with only $10 million to $50 million in assets, according to bankruptcy court documents. Then, on Friday, the CEO of Red Lion Hotels Corp., suddenly resigned after the company announced a $3.5 million loss for the third quarter. Efforts to reach Inner Circle and Red Lion were unsuccessful Monday. The seven-story Red Lion has more than 300 rooms on 14 acres at 5500 Midland Road just south of the King Avenue West exit off Interstate 90. Included on the property is the Montana Convention Center, which was once the state's largest indoor convention space but has become obsolete and unused over the past few years.
