  De los pocos hoteles de la zona de Uxbridge/Hillingdon que tiene buena relación calidad-precio. Tanto la apariencia externa como interna están cuidadas al detalle. Limpio y reformado. Bien aislado del clima y del ruido. El servicio muy amable y útil.

  Una gran alegria

  Este puente de diciembre, no pudimos regresar a casa debido al temporal. Buscamos un hotel cerca del aeropuerto y nos salió este. Habitaciones grandes, completas y con una cama perfecta... Veníamos de otro hotel en el centro de londres y dejaba bastante que desear... Desayuno perfecto, personal súper amable que pese a no hablar nada de español se molestaban por intentar entenderte y satisfacerte en todo lo posible. La comida muy buena. El Barrio tranquilo, pero andando un poquito llegas a un centro comercial. Desconozco lo que se tarda en llegar a londres centro, pero fue un acierto encontrar este hotel. 100% recomendable.

  Un hotel con encanto, al más puro estilo inglés. Probamos también el restaurante, que ofrece comida típica y sabrosa. En resumen, un sitio muy recomendable para quien no busca estar cerca del centro de Londres

  The Red Lion - Hillingdon

  I stayed at the Red Lion for 5 nights whilst working in and around London. Check in was quick and efficient, an excellent room, large double bed, sofa table and chairs and a desk for working. Unfortunately due to covid restrictions the room was not serviced during my stay, I did some cleaning myself in the evenings. The restaurant and bar was well run, staff were friendly and efficient and food was excellent. Beer was also excellent - Fullers Bitter. I had breakfast on 2 mornings and once again excellent food and service. Room was remarkably quiet given a busy road nearby. A very comfortable stay and I will stay there again if working in that area

  Eating in the pub

  We visited the Red Lion in August during the government Eat Out to Help out scheme. The first two times were good. The menu wasn't particularly varied but we had steaks and salads which were very good. Unfortunately, we visited August Bank Holiday. We had been told that they had several hundred covers that day so were going to be busy, Luckily we got there midday so were served quickly. However, it got slightly busier and thats when the problems kicked in. The family sitting next to us walked out in disgust having complained repeatedly to the staff about the poor service .They had not had their meals, having waited nearly an hour for them. They ended up speaking to the manager and quite rightly refused to pay for the drinks they had. It wasn't that busy and the menu was quite simple. Mostly bugers and salads. So nothing complicated to turn out.. Also, a large family group were milling about freely between tables and should have been told to stay seated. We had to move tables to get away from them, There was no social distancing between the tables and staff were not wearing masks. Our waiter also got our order wrong. His colleague had to come out and ask whether we wanted our starters and mains at the same time. We have found in the past at the Red Lion than that when its quiet things are generally ok. It only has to get slightly busy and the wheels come off. I must say their Covid resrictions did not fill us with much confidence. In all honesty, what they had in place wasn't that much different from pre-covid days. They should have spaced the tables further apart, insisted people stay seated and had staff wearing masks/visors. It think that they were so anxious to reopen and recoup losses they got greedy and left the same amount of tables in place. We won't be going back in a hurry. Its a shame, as it could be a really good pub/restaurant.
