DrinksPopped in here for drinks during our holiday during the week and must say place was empty but the barman made us welcome. Place had a cold feel to it due to us being the only clients, bet it is better at the weekends.

Really enjoyed our stay, will stay again and dog friendly! We stayed in December after booking bed, breakfast and evening meal for 4 nights in a dog friendly room. The room was big, clean and very comfortable, the breakfast was hearty, made from quality food and served by a lovely lady who even fed our dogs extra sausages. Evening meals where made with fresh vegetables, the steak pie is fabulous!!! Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are attentive, Terry and the manager where friendly and attentive..... We stop away frequently and here really is a good place to stay in a lovely town....

2 night visit for my partners 21stMe and my partner chose to stay at the red dragon inn for 2 nights from the 15th December to 17th. From the moment we were greeted at the doors we had our bags taken off us by a lovely man named Terry, he made us feel welcomed straight away. When shown to our room, we were not disappointed, Im always a little cautious when booking hotels as sometimes the pictures posted of the rooms look completely different to what you get, This was definitely not the case here. The rooms are spotless recently redecorated I believe everything we needed was included in the room! We took our cocker spaniel with us, i think she may have enjoyed it as much as us, she was absolutely spoilt rotten by Dan and Terry each time we took her down into the restaurant. She even managed to sneak herself some food from the kitchen! We would like to say a special thank you to Dan for making such an effort to take time out to make our stay extra special, he brought Prosecco with a lovely little note to our room on our second day to wish us a happy 21st! I honestly felt like we were staying in a home away from home on our little trip away, the staff are such a credit to the red dragon inn. The breakfast is also to die for!! I wish I had discovered this little gem before now, 1000% will be coming back, I cannot believe the price we payed and the wonderful experience we had, weve payed 3x as much in other hotels and not had half the pleasure weve had here! Thank you so much to the whole team! Hannah & Jake x

LunchWe live local and have had lunch at the Red Dragon before but not sure if we will ever return my wife had steak pie and that was the only thing that was good, veg was cold, chips were hard we order a second round of drinks when we finished the starter these arrived when we had finished are main meal and was getting ready to leave. It was minus 2 outside and the fires were not lit. Overall the service was shocking another group had waited that long for service they left. We have lived here for over twenty years and this comes in the top two for poor food and service
