  Quiet and tranquil

  Drove through no mans place to get to this rather isolated resort. Very big place and hilly. Need a car to get here. Buy your own snacks before you come. However the reward was the beautiful view of the river and hills beyond. Hotel receptionist was very accommodating to show us the choice of rooms available and we chose the Hillview chalet at a very good price. TV reception is poor. Toilet is dark and feels old. Free use of kayak. Good for retreat. Car park is ample.

  Isolated but beautiful.

  Raya Buri Resort is relatively isolated Resort on the bank of the lake behind Sri Nakharin dam on Kwai River in Thailand not from Myanmar border. The area is beautiful. There are rooms on small man made islands in the lake and others on the hill on the edge of water. All with nice views. My room was spacious, clean, quite and well appointed. With comfortable bed. Bathroom was of good size though shower-stall had no door by design. The free breakfast buffet is very good with the restaurant area overlooking the lake. There is free wifi with good speed in room, and public area. Staff was very friendly, and service good. You can take a boat tour or swim in the lake, or paddle but not much else to do. Nevertheless if you want a quite beautiful setting for relaxation, this is a good place for it.

  Next door party.

  Nice place & great view. The resort is in the isolated location and service is good even in the long holidays. The view is great and the resort has some activities for you to enjoy. But if you want to make peace with your mind I recommend you to avoid long weekends. Because the wall is not that thick when your neighbor talking or having activities, you can hear that. Breakfast is mainly Thai styled.

  Friendly staff and panorama view.

  Rayaburi resort is on Srinakarin Dam and some far from Kanchanaburi downtown. Room of Lake view is clean but old fashion. Bathroom has shower and hair dryer. Good view and natural feel. Food is good and warming staffs.

  Relaxing Place to Stay on the Water

  Clean, comfortable, and a little above basic room. I stayed in a room with direct lake access which was great. Breakfast was below average and staff friendliness was inconsistent. There were however, some standout staff. Khun Foe is a lovely waiter who speaks German. Khun Yut, I think he is a manager, was also friendly, helpful and always around the resort. I gave this resort a "Very Good" because of the river access and the above listed outstanding staff.
