Historical LuxuryWe stayed here for 1 night recently based on its excellent reputation. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the Bas Oda (Master/Head Bedroom) and it was like stepping back in time. You go to Safranbolu and pay to visit historical houses to get a feel for the way people used to live. Here, you experience it first-hand because the hotel is actually a 300-year-old house owned by the hosts' family for generations. You can feel the love and respect they have for the house and the area. The hosts, Erhan and Umran, are very personable, helpful and go out of their way to make your stay a great one. The rooms and common spaces were extremely clean. The towels and linens are of the highest quality, not to be found in any other hotel. The garden is very nice and relaxing. The breakfast was amazing with fresh items from the garden and fresh eggs. We loved this place so much we are planning to go back in a couple of weeks and have already recommended it to all of our friends.

Lovely historical ottoman guest houseWe really enjoy our stay in this historical house. "Papa" and "mama" treated us like their family members, they cared about us and did everything to fulfill our needs. Although the location is not perfect for tourists, the host provides free pick-up and drop-off service. The house itself is extremely clean and cozy, and the neighborhood is very quiet. We highly recommend this beautiful guest house

Genuine Turkish HospitalityA friend and I were traveling to Ankara for a two week conference and decided to spend the weekend in Safranbolu. We arrived late because of a flight delay but Erhan was kind enough to stay up and wait for us and even helped us up with our bags. Our room was spacious and simply decorated with traditional Turkish designs and furniture. The bathroom was clean and modern and the beds comfortable. The best treat was breakfast, which was made by the hotel owner from fruits and nuts picked from the garden and eggs collected from the chickens running around in the backyard. Stewed figs, fresh walnuts, quince jam, fresh baked bread, and fried eggs, with bottomless amounts of turkish tea and coffee.. the weather was warm enough to eat out on the picnic tables in the yard. The whole experience was lovely. We were given information on where to tour and what to see and were driven into the old city where we spent the day walking around admiring the old ottoman houses, watching the blacksmiths work in their shops, having strong turkish tea in the sidewalk cafes, and wrapping up the day with a relaxing bath at the traditional hammam in the middle of town. I would recommend spending a weekend in Safranbolu if you get the chance.

Wonderful!Rasitler Bag Evi is one of the best places we have ever stayed! Owners are sooooooo kind, breakfast was amazingly tasty and the design of our room, the wooden ceiling and the old style wooden windows took us back to our childhood. We stayed only two nights but we will definitely be back for more.

A family owned..warm..clean houseWe stayed in this house for a weekend in 2006. The family owned hotel-house was a great experience.. We loved their slow paced...peaceful.life.. The natural local food was fantastic... You can buy local hand made home textiles from.the shops around... It is a great experience.
