  Ranguana Caye is heaven on this earth

  We were a party of two (mother & daughter) who stayed at Ranguana Caye for 8 days. over thanksgiving 2019. The staff at the island work so hard to make sure that you are well taken care of. They did an amazing job. Tommy took care of the island while Freddy the bartender went home. Juan was visited during day & made sure that all supplies were well taken care of. It was definitely paradise earth. Mornings were quiet before boats for day tour arrived.These tours left around 3pm. Then again it was quiet. Shadow, the island dog, was definite part of attraction for all kids who visited, also for the adults. He is 9 months old puppy wholes to play with coconut. He definitely adds to the island charm. The staff took my daughter for snorkeling, kayaking since I was not very comfortable taking her alone. They taught her how to fish. Ivan, the fisherman, told stories about how he caught lobsters, big fishes. Devon was fun to be around. Tommy & Devon taught us how to release newly hatched turtles in water. What an experience! Tommy especially took very good of us. He asked us at the end of each meal what we want to eat in next meal, he touched base if we needed anything in the room. They had water & hot water running even though it is a small island & much of water has to be transported from inland. One can walk 1 min into water & see all fishes. One of snorkeling that Juan took us was breath-taking...there was turtles bigger than 6 feet surrounded by sharks. It was the most peaceful sight that I have ever witnessed. Chef Ronald (I may have name spelled wrong) cooked delicious Seré, Ceviche & Sahow. He knew we liked fruits so made sure that there were ample of good papayas & pineapple for us. We met people from all over the world (France, NZ, Australia, Canada, US, Honduras, Guatemala) on this small piece of island in middle of nowhere! People on sailboat, catamaran stopped by the island to check their phones as the island had good wifi. Even navy officers from Belize stopped-by for wifi. I also have to give credit to people in booking office, esp Becky. I was very nervous to be traveling so far alone with my daughter. Thank you for helping us with all bookings, including ride from BZE international airport In short, this is the best vacation that we have had. Thank you Tommy, Juan, Freddie, Ronald & Devon for making it such a fun experience for us.

  Best Vacation

  Absolutely loved this place. If you are looking for a relaxing and amazing getaway. This is it. I will definitely be returning. The staff was amazing and friendly and took care of everything that was asked of them. And the views of this place are out of this world gorgeous:

  Idyllic private island

  Whats not to love about a private Caribbean island? Snorkelling, kayaks, watching sunsets from our verandah, delicious food, crazy dive-bombing pelicans catching fish all day long and an island dog. The friendly and knowledgeable staff help to create a relaxed and carefree atmosphere and patiently identified the pictures of fish we saw while snorkelling. Freddie is a great barman and a real character. But the main selling point is the sense of tranquillity when the day visitors depart and you realise youre (almost) alone on a desert island. Cant recommend this highly enough.

  A great little paradise getaway

  We took a boat ride from Placencia to Ranguana for a day of snorkeling and relaxing. Tommy was a great host, providing us with great drinks, food and friendly service. The ride from Placencia is about an hour by slow boat, but the ride is scenic and always filled with colorful entertainment by our captain. The snorkeling is beautiful, great reef filled with all sorts of wildlife. We say a few spotted eagle rays and other cool fish along the easy swim. Thanks to Tommy and the whole crew for a great time and we will be back!

  Best private island ever!!!

  I had an amazing time on this private island with staff. Everyone was so hospitable and friendly. The food was great and day was perfect with paddle boarding, snorkeling and drinks!!! I for sure want to return and even consider staying in the cabanas overnight. Oh yea Shadow (the dog) adds an extra touch with greeting you at the docks lol.
