2 night stayWhat a fantastic find. An elegantly restored hotel, only 4 minutes walk to our Doctor in Randwick. Warmly welcomed by Paul on the front desk who explained everything in a polished professional manor. Room was clean and well presented. Had all the essentials. Under Parking first in best dressed, on street parking again, have to be lucky....although, all good for us. Endless cafes opposite for breakfast and lunch. Very good value for money, will definately stay there again.

excellent !!had a fantastic two night stay at the lurline. do not have a single complaint. it was clean, quiet, & comfy. the location was great, so close to everything, including tramlines, buses, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. & staff were friendly & helpful

You wont be Disappointed!! Great motelVery clean, nice premises. Excellent value for money. Simple check in/out process. Rooms & amenities were spot on & the facilities were just like the depictions on their site. Very happy customer & will return again without a doubt. If the ratings had an option for 10/10, I would.

Staying close but not tooVisiting our daughter in Padington and having to visit Maroubra frequently we have chosen the Lurline and Randwick!! Excellent choice ! The hotel good and delivers what you expect - a bit more lieniance in giving discount on overnigh parking would be welcome - I loved the courtyard!! Will be back

Just be careful, post Covid the management are more interested in your cash in the till versus your experience receivedI booked for a stay at the Lurline on Monday Evening 8th March 2021 for an overnight stay in Sydney. Everything was going well until just after 8pm when the grinders and jackhammers started. Which sounded directly outside my room. I was in room 41 on the first floor of the courtyard rooms. I could also hear trucks reversing and truck engines idling. I decided to investigate where the noise was coming from and went outside. Literally over the road from my room, workmen had started night road works. I went over and asked to speak with the foreman. He was very nice and polite and informed me that night works would take place and the jack hammering would be finished by 23:00 latest however the trucks and other noise could be all night depending on how quick they got through the work. The foreman mentioned information letters would of gone out to all affected neighbors and business in the area. I wondered why the hotel hadn't informed me of these night works. I returned to my room and tried everything to speak with the hotel. Reception is only manned until 17:00. I phoned all the numbers listed and got voicemails saying office now closed and to leave a message and I sent emails complaining as to why I wasn't informed of the night works. The hotel was booked through booking.com. The noise went on until very early into the next morning so my sleep was harshly disturbed for the majority of the night. The hotel replied to me within 24 hours to say that the manager would get back to me directly about my complaints. The manager replied after 48 hours and said I could have a free room upgrade and free breakfast next time I stay! The manager also said they were not informed of the night works which is opposite to what the Works foreman said when I spoke with him. It seems that in the wake of Covid, money in the till is now more important than a good experience. I would of certainly cancelled my booking and booked elsewhere had I known about the night works. However I wasn't given this chance. To me this also shows a weakness in that I couldn't contact anyone at the hotel out of hours? Overall I am disappointed in the hotel and the response I have received. Lurline this is poor form. If you are booking here in the future, at least try and get an out of hours contact for the hotel for any issues! This could exist but I couldn't find it on the night. The hotel looked pretty busy on Monday night so I am surely not the only one affected by the noise.
