  five star service in a family-run hotel

  Myself and my wife stayed here on the recommendation of an Italian friend who said it would be a great base for a skiing holiday in the Dolomites. The hotel is friendly and family-run with excellent staff (great room staff, chef, maitre d' and front of house staff) a great kitchen and clean, bright, comfortable rooms with good modern bathrooms. Evening meal was a full Italian four course - or five if you accept Luigi's offer of local cheese plate - and ranged between very good and excellent every evening. Many simple things are done very well and without any fuss in this hotel. If you order a good bottle of wine from their extensive local wine list, no problem drinking it over successive evenings; they'll cork it up for you. Room service panino or basket of fruit, no problem. For skiing, you need to have a car or use the skibus to bring you to the local slopes. Nearest skilift is at Lusia about 2km away but there are many more slopes within a short drive. Five star service. Cannot recommend highly enough.

  Greatest Italian food we ever had !

  but warning, if u don't ski 8-16 you gonna put on few kg. One can't ressist wide choice of antipasti by Luca the chief. Luigi is the best waiter ever and being an official sommelier he recommended us a lot of great local wines. Dinner starts at 19:30 but as of 19:00 hungry guests already gather by the bar :D It's a small family run hotel, but very well mantained and super clean. WiFi yes. DVD yes. Sauna small spa yes. Just 2 minutes walk from Moena center. Moena is good base for skiing - not far away from Alpe Lucia, Predazzo, Alpe Cermis, Canazei (for Sella Ronda) and few others. Highly recommended place.

  I definitely recommend it

  Very friendly service, always smiling and friendly. The owners care for a friendly atmosphere. Very good food. We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located close to the center, a great location for moving into several ski areas.

  Lives Up to It's Name!

  Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and loved it! The rooms are newer, clean, nicely decorated in chalet like fashion and comfortable. We opted to have a room with a view and truly enjoyed it. The balcony was small but had some chairs to sit and gaze at the town and surrounding mountains. Just beautiful! Town is a quick walk down hill. An added plus was the hotel dining room. We didn't have to worry about finding a restaurant during our stay. We dined in house all 3 evenings and it was delicious! $22 euro each for a 4 course meal which included an appetizer buffet. Our Romanian waitress was outstanding and a breath of fresh air! The chef certainly knows how to cook! There are 3 options for both the primo and secondo course that you pre-select when making your reservation for the day. The menu was varied each day - even the appetizer buffet contained new selections. Marcos at the front desk was very friendly and helpful answering our questions about the area. We visited Moena upon the recommendation of a friend who had been to the Dolomites. Moena is located in a valley. There are wonderful hiking trails with scenic views. From Moena our hiking trail led us to a ski lift area called Alpe Lusia. The mountain views at the top were stupendous! Even the restaurant there was delicious. We truly enjoyed our time in the picturesque town of Moena and definitely recommend staying in Hotel Rancolin.

  Top Family Hotel in Moena, Dolomites

  A nice familyrunned hotel with excellent service, happy staff very good food, central location and quiet area of Moena. ! We keep coming back year after year! As we go by bus with a big skiinggroup there will be extra plus with the parking area close to the hotel( 5 meters)
