The heavy smoke in the lobby is far from Ramada standards! We went as a big group for CNY. We had 14 rooms altogether - a mix of Asian and Western families. The first impression is unfortunately very bad. As soon as the doors of the lobby opens, it's like diving in a ashtray! The air is heavy, thick, smelly. Kids started to cough and eyes to burn. The check-in became unpleasant as soon as we talked about an extra bed we ordered for one Queen room. Despite the fact this extra bed has been confirmed through the agency, the room was suddenly "too small" to contain it. We had to change for a room more expensive. We booked all non-smoking rooms. A couple of them were as bad as the lobby without option to change (ok, it was CNY), but there was no spray to clean the air. The hotel advertises western restaurant. Very unfortunately, this one is in the lobby, and no western family would ever go there. This is the smoking lounge. We are left with the Chinese restaurant, which is also the place for the breakfast. We could get our coffee, toasts, eggs, sausages, and fried rice in the morning. It was extremely crowded and the cooks and staff had some difficulties to maintain the flow of dishes and clean tables. We had all our other meals in the village nearby, which was ok. The rooms were comfortable and clean (apart for the air for some). The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the small gym. Sad we always had to walk through the lobby to go anywhere. Without the smoking issue, I would have put a 4 for cleanliness.

Restaurant lunchWent for lunch with suppliers and it was very good standard. Authentic Chinese served around the lazy Susan there was every meat served and many different vegetable dishes. Service was good but they didn't refresh your plate enough which meant you ended up with plenty of scraps. Overall very good

You dont really have any other options for this townAs hotels go in Suzhou, this is the best of a bad bunch. Ive been coming here for a few years and nothing ever improves so you just get used to it. The rooms are still stifling hot (as is the entire 5th floor). Trying to get a beer is a true test of ones patience. The internet is quite poor and frequently goes off. I gather that they have a high turnover of staff and this causes issues with improving the standard...but as their competition is almost non existent they probably have no motivation to improve. Good points: You are walking distance from the restaurant strip, and the hotel restaurant is quite good. I live in hope of these guys improving.

Average hotel, location is not goodThis is marked as average because the location is very far from city center. You will not find shopping mall near by. No money exchange facility there. Morning breakfast is OK. Room is OK. Not good for staying. I will not go further.

Nice Hotel for Business StayI stayed at this hotel because it was the only one in Luzhi town and it turned out quite okay. The staff are very nice and helpful although they speak minimal english. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was decent with more Chinese options than international. I had local dishes for dinner at the restaurant which were pretty tasty and not expensive. If you want to pay cash, then make sure you give a cash deposit because if not it's very hard to explain that even if you gave the credit card for deposit, you still want to pay cash.
