If you are a woman don't come stay in this hotelHi guys! this is the story of my experience in zhengzhou ramada. not a happy one. Me and my few girlfriends decided to come to Zhengzhou for sightseeing and travelling purposes. As Ramada is Wyndham rewards and the only hotel in this city that recognises the program, choice was obvious - upon booking, all the amenities were negotiated and approved between us - pool, massage and spa in the hotel, as well as room rates and size was accepted by everyone. As we arrived in the evening, excited to get into pool and relax and finally start the vacation, sadly found out that pool is not working. But sauna is 24/7. as well as gym. One of the friends had decided to go for massage first, turned out that "all rooms are taken and no free spot but you can call a messuse to come to your room" Which we did to discover the girl on high heels and a skirt uniform... She was as surprised to see us at the door. With slow "aimo dian le ma?" entered the room. As one of the girls stayed for massage in the room, the rest proceeded for some sauna and spa to the 3rd floor to find out that "spa procedures are ONLY FOR MALE GUESTS" EErm... isnt it "5 star hotel chain" ?? We've been told that female sauna is turned off and 5 minutes later - that its broken. However when we called from the room earlier everything seemed to be working. Disappointed that so far we could not get anything what was promised on the website we went to "gym" which was 5 square meters room with trade mill and spinning bike. I guess at least something worked in the hotel, so we took opportunity to work out. Obviously upset for overpaying for all this non-exsistent amenities, it has been decided that we need to speak to manager. Manager however didnt help the situation, no explanation was given regarding shady massage or spa, and nothing about the fact that website does not indicate about pool problems. As it turned out pictures from website about executive suits are lies as well. Meaning there are only standard types of rooms available. Be aware of that when booking with this place. So overal, we spent a lot of nerves and definitely not coming back. Staff felt unexperienced and rude when it came down to asking explanations. In a chain of this size we were expecting much better customer care. Please note that all negations were in chinese. so "laowai" syndrome wont work here. All of my GF leaved in china for many years. THis was unfortunate experience.

Far From AnywhereI went there with my family for holiday. Hotel location is located in the middle of wet market. it's quite smelly if you walk around the hotel. There is nothing fancy surrounding the hotel. I thought there will be a plaza or mall under the hotel but it was nothing except wet market. It takes one hour ride from Zhengzhou airport to this hotel and cost me around 300RMB (approx. 45US$). It takes around 2 hours to go to Shaolin temple or Luoyang. It takes 30 minutes to go to the high speed railway station. Room The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable but the bathroom is too transparent although there is a curtain. I would not suggest anyone to share your room with your friend unless if you are ok if your friend can see clearly what you are doing in Toilet.

On the wrong side of the slopeThis hotel was probably pretty nice when it first opened, I'm guessing ten years ago. Unfortunately, the hotel common areas are in bad need of some maintenance and updating. The carpet is beginning to wrinkle in some areas, which can be downright dangerous. The rooms are rather tired, the grouting is getting moldy and there is a vague smell of smoke in the rooms. I would rank this 3/5, but I think I pay more because of the international brand name, and therefore expect more. On the bright side, the staff is nice and helpful and the neighborhood appears to have many interesting opportunities for eating, drinking and perhaps some nightlife.

Average hotel far away from everythingThe hotel air was not working. The phone was damaged, the fridge was not getting cold. I stayed here for two days. It took over twenty minutes each time to get a taxi from the hotel. Bed was comfortable and staff were nice. Very little English spoken.

Run down and dirtyWe booked two rooms for one night. The air conditioning was not working in one of the rooms so we asked to change to another room. Air conditioning was still not working in that room but at least it was turned off, so was only 25°. The room was filthy. There was dust on the floor, on the chairs and on the table. You could see a grey line of dust on the carpet around the edges of the room. There was mould all over the shower, the one and only provided bath towel couldn't be considered as any more than a rag. On top of that, the wall paper was falling off in numerous locations, there was plaster falling out of a hole in the wall near the door, and dead bugs stuck to the ceiling above the air conditioning outlets. This was far from what I would expect from Ramada hotels.
