  A mixed experience

  I was glad to see the Ramada around midnight, after a long journey. Also the lady at the desk was pleasant and helpful, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. But a little more attention here and there wouldve made a big difference. There was only half a coffee pot, the handle was missing from the toilet cistern and worst of all, I felt something sharp scratching my ankles each I sat down on the bed. In the morning I found out was it was: two angle brackets are fixed so they project out from the bed at a height of about 6 inches from the floor. My ankles were scratched but I was not hurt - purely through good luck. Always a good idea to examine the room first.

  SKIP ELY NEVADA AND ESPECIALLY THE RAMADA HOTEL!!

  Nothing much to see in Ely; our pick of motel (Ramada) was a big mistake. The hotel needs a total renovation; the room we were given in the annex section was dark, dreary and felt unclean. Several years ago when stopping in Ely we stayed at the La Quinta (very nice).

  Pleasantly Surprised

  Arrived on a Friday night, travelling and wanted only a bed. Two places were sold out and the Ramada was less expensive than the other few we checked. Opted for the adjacent Ramada building which was kitty-corner to the main building so not a big deal whatsoever and the room was clean, comfortable bed, quiet, friendly staff, the breakfast grab bag was a bonus; cereal, milk, fruit, and juice; enough to get us on the road for awhile. Will stay here again if passing through.

  Bait and Switch

  We stayed here in September on a cross country trip. Based on the pictures we booked here because the pictures showed the rooms with the doors inside of the casino. Nope! Our room was in another building across the street with door opening to the parking lot. We paid more to have doors that were inside of the casino as we were two women traveling alone. The door to the room didn't close that tight - it looked like it had been kicked in at some point. The vents on the air conditioner were broken and the room was smelly. My pillow smelled of dog! GROSS.

  Cozy, friendly, and clean

  This is an older, smaller hotel and casino. We stayed in the main hotel (there are additional rooms across the street). We were so happy with all parts of our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Service was outstanding. The pool was a little cold, but the jacuzzi was wonderful, and both were sparkling clean. We loved the small casino, and the restaurant was great. Mostly, though, the staff just made the trip! So friendly and helpful!
