  Un hotel muy lejos

  Las instalaciones son relativamente buenas, las camas son duras y la comida regular pero el personal es bueno. Está a 10 min en taxi del centro de Baku lo que hace que sea muy bueno para los que quieren estar en La Paz de la alberca pero muy malo para los que quieren experimentar la vida, museos y cultura de Baku.

  Mixed feelings

  Booked our stay on Agoda; where we were specifically asked what time we would arrive; received 2 emails directly from the Ramada Baku confirming our reservation; neither mentioned a check-in time. So we arrived at Midday only to be told our rooms would not be ready until 14:00. We waited and waited; at 14:00 we were told our room was not ready and to wait longer. Overhearing conversations between the reception staff, it became apparent the previous occupants had been given a late check-out without thought for the arrival of the next guests (us). The receptionist disappeared (I believe to discus the situation with the duty manager) and quickly reappeared with keys to upgraded rooms. So -3 stars for the long wait and inability to plan; +1 star for the upgraded rooms (making this decision an earlier would have been better). After the rough check-in; we found the rooms to be very good; clean and comfortable. The sea-side facilities (pool; grassed seating area and beach) were nice, well maintained and the pool area well provided for (loungers; cushions for the loungers and towels), although having pool side staff with better Russian or English skills would have helped ..... playing charades trying to explain 4 towels please was a struggle. We had booked a package, comprising the room, breakfast and dinner. We went to the restaurant; I explained that we had a package which included the dinner and sat at a convienient table. The restaurant staff were friendly and brought menus quickly. I was a little surprised as these were the a-la-carte menus and I had expected a more limited choice on a package type deal. But we ordered and the food delivered was very good. We went to leave and were promptly presented with a bill ..... it appeared that either they did not understand when I told them that we had pre-paid or the front desk had not updated the room number list for people on the package deal. But; after a quick phone call, we were told all was fine, and no bill (their expression however was that somebody somewhere messed up). Efficiency in resolving issue with no fireworks +1 star). There is also another restaurant on-site with a nice deck and again; very good; tasty food and a live singer in the evening; we again hit a language barrier as the table server did not speak English or Russian; but a gentleman I assume was the manager was incredibly helpful and made sure we got what we wanted. Check-out was quick and painless; how ever customer service who approached us as we left was more interested in ensuring we wrote a perfect review than what our experience was. In summary: The Good: Nice hotel Food much better than expected and good size portions (breakfast seemed never ending) Pool very good; and the shape of the hotel shields the pool from the wind The Bad: Reservations team, simple planning, dont give people a late check-out and also book people for that room at the usual check-in time. Customer service rep more interested in pushing for a good review than listening to customer comments (write down what people tell you - even if you do nothing with your notes; it makes the customer think you care). Some guest using the beach as a land-fill and half burying used pampers .... placing some waste bins on the beach with suitable signage would be an idea

  The most amazing gateaway

  Not only is it located in a very calm area ,the photos are exactly as they are in real life .. Our room was ready when we goT there which was around midday and the check in was swift and details explained to the last . The bellman MEHDAT stood out when we asked him where we could watch football and he managed to get the channel for us in the lobby tv after which we moved to the business center and we were able to watch the second match from a computer and that was service beyond expectation . He took care of our requests with no hesitation as he had a good knowledge of English and made a few recommendations here and there . We had a taxi driver cant remember his name but was a big guy who was always at the hotel very charming and knew all the touristic spots and would point them out every time he dropped us off somewhere . Finally he massage parlor we were attended with two most amazing masseuse (sorry lost their names )for a couples massage and considering my partner is big they did an amazing job for the both of us .. Words cannot express how much appreciation and homely I felt ... I may not remember everyone's names but the entire Ramada staff thank you for making our stay memorable for my partner and I . See you next year .. The only downside was the buffet breakfast and the in room did not have a variety maybe due to the season but am sure that's just a small issue .

  Comfortable stay

  Stayed for 5 nights in sea facing room Location : 10 to 20 minutes by cab from Maidens Tower and 1 hour from airport. Sea facing with private beach and excellent views of the Caspian Check in : Smooth Room : comfortable with ample space and a balcony to gaze at the Caspian Food : Good Service : Good Gym : Very good Indoor and outdoor pools : Very good Will definitely stay here again when next in Baku

  Extra good hotel

  So, this place is very nice also yummy breakfast, there's a pool and It can be warm in winter so you can swim in winter too! I'm offering you guys to come this hotel. Yes this place is in baku. So prepare to come in.
