Nice quiet weekend by the seaNice hotel reasonably price with nice ground very good location on the beach. Rooms are a good size a little worn but fine. Staff nice. Breakfast included. It's a located about 15 km from Hat Yai and can be reached by taxis or public transport.

so much potential !I was amazed with the size and beauty of this resort from the outside, however upon checking in and witnessing the service and the facilities my opinion changed quickly. It's obvious that this is an outdated hotel which isn't well kept. For one thing the staff doesn't speak any English and it's a chore to get any questions answered. Secondly, the place is practically empty on weekend next to the sea which I found to be a shocker. The rooms were basic with obvious imperfections - ie, the phone had continued static when making a call or the ceiling had dried plaster dripping from it which did not look very appealing. The breakfast buffet was basic but satisfying; I was literally the only one eating breakfast in the buffet room !! The pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned in over a year. I could go on and on. However, on the positive side, the wifi was decent and the aircon was acceptable as well. Also, the cable TV was modern and offered a number of western news and movie channels. For 1,300 baht per night I guess I can't complain too much. bottom line - if you're a family looking for an epic resort experience by the sea then this probably isn't the place for you. However, if you're a couple on a budget with a reason to be in Songkhla for the weekend, this place could work for you.

Not Good But Not BadThis hotel isn't as nice as Songkhla Mermaid hotel which is located just beside this hotel. The rooms ware actually nice and clean with 19th century furnitures. The service was good since they cleaned up your room whenever you want. When other restaurants cook Thai food, it was amazing however, in this restaurant it was terrible! The kitchen staff probably doesn't know how to cook it and it was super expensive. Overall, there is nothing really special at this hotel. The swimming pool was also dirty and full of cracked tiles. However, this hotel was okay for 1 night as it is located in a very good position, near the beach and near the interesting places in Songkhla. But I would suggest you to go to the Mermaid hotel.

Stay away.Although Rajamangala's website claims that all 34 rooms have "a private balcony facing a stunning seascape of Chalatat beach," this is not true. Rooms on the east side of the hotel in fact face the hotel next door, with no sea view at all available, and most of the others have only a partial view of the beach, which is across the main drag and through the trees. Why they make this claim is beyond me. We spent our first night in a room that stunk of mildew and mold, both of which were evident in the the closet. In addition plaster was falling from the ceiling, and the air conditioning ran at about 30 percent, at best. Breakfast was thin and unappealing, with flies covering the fruit. Our second night we had a better room with working air conditioning. Wifi was weak and sporadic. These rooms would be fair value at 300 baht.

close downthe hotel and restaurant has close down since a couple of months, do not know when it will reopen; but will surely need a renovation if it re-open. the hotel was not run properly, lack of experienced staff; staff was coming from school .
