A Wonderful StayYears ago, we had planned to take a trip to a farm. Recently, we found the Rainbow Ridge farm B&B in Onalaska, which we visited after staying near the Sparta-Elroy trail. When we stayed at this farm, we saw that the cats and the dogs were very friendly. They liked to attach to us. Actually, most of animals, which consist of cats, dogs, goats, cattle, llamas, ducks, chicken, roosters live freely in the Rainbow Ridge farm. But there are surrounding fences which just show them the boundary of their living area for the different groups. different groups also , the animals usually fulfill their responsibility. For example: The hens lay eggs; the goats produce milk and give birth, and attend competitions; the cats catch mice; the dogs protect other animals and guard the farm ..and so on. Sometimes, a few of the animals would hang around the neighborhood area but they always come back. The animals in this farm have never escaped from their sweet home because they have been treated and cared for very well by Cindy and Donna. In the morning of the last day, we decided to take a look at this farm area from the top of the ridge. When we walked uphill to the Monkey Tree on the ridge, all of the lovely free-range goats lined up and walked to the ridge with us. We were amazed by the group of the marching goats following us then. It was a very interesting and hospitable experience for us to stay in this farm.

Wonderful experience for Grandchild/GrandparentsWe spent 2 wonderful days at the farm hosted by Donna and Cindy. We took our soon to be 4 grandaughter so she could go from "city girl (Chicago) to farm girl" .......even if it was just for a few days. Cindy and Donna who run the farm were welcoming in every respect and our granddaughter was able to participate in milking goats, collecting eggs from the hen house, feeding pigs, etc etc. She had a wonderful time and learned a lot. She got to help the young 4-H gals that came to help out on the the farm given the 4-H program is something Donna and Cindy very generously support. The surrounding towns and Mississippi River cruise were also interesting and kept us busy during the day. But the farm was the "star." We would highly recommendRainbow Ridge Farms whether or not you bring along a little one--

Rainbow Ridge Farms B&BI stayed here with my 2 sisters for 3 nights. Donna and Cindy are perfect B&B owners! They make you feel at home right away and are very accommodating. We got a kick out of all the goats, chickens, dogs, cats, etc.,that are on the property.Donna and Cindy both have so many interests and talents which made for fun conversations. The breakfast they serve is amazing. From the farm fresh eggs to the pumpkin spice pancakes. The farmhouse is a bit older but charming with comfy beds. We would love to stay there again when we go back to the area.

Amazing solo getaway!I spent two nights at Rainbow Ridge Farms and can't wait to go back. There are times when I enjoy getting away by myself and this was perfection for me. Walking the farm was great fun and relaxing. Beautiful! Cindy and Donna are wonderful hosts and talking with the other guests during breakfast was enjoyable as well. The town of Onalaska and other surrounding communities are a treat, too. I really could just write and write about my experience though I mostly want to share that if a farm and the country entices you, then choose Rainbow Ridge.

Memorable farmstay!Rainbow Ridge Farms is a super unique B&B&B (the last B is for Barn obviously!). My girls and I loved the glimpse of farm life in our 2 night stay. Cindy & Donna provide a very welcoming space both indoors and outdoors. We loved getting to know the personalities of some of the goats during our hikes up to the Monkey Tree. My girls would like to give a special shout out to Reya, Legacy, Liberty, Cher, and Solstice. If you have braids watch out for Solstice because shell try to nibble them with every opportunity she gets! We cant wait to return in Spring 2021 during kidding season!
