    Great little find.

After the hustle and bustle of Bangkok this place is a welcome retreat set on the banks of the river Kwai it's quiet but not too far from local amineties. It's a five min walk from the station past the war cemetery. Close to the local restaurants and 7/11. I opted for the double bungalow on the river front 950baht a night sounds pricey but to be honest the view is worth that alone. Room came with double bed. Good air con. Fridge and tv. Wifi is brilliant. Decor is a bit shabby but it's only atheistics. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Only issue for anyone staying in the riverside bungalows are the steep steps down so if you have any kind of mobility problems it is near impossible to transverse.

    Perfectly serviceable.

Nothing bad about this place, it's definitely on the cheap side and a bit run-down, also when I was there, there wasn't much of a social or fun atmosphere at all, it was quite depressing to hang around. However, the staff are as helpful as they can be given their limited English, and the rooms are adequate. As one of the cheapest places and placed quite conveniently near the night market and river, you get what you pay for. Beware, there are many dogs on the roads nearby at night, which are very dark adn creepy (though less than a five minute walk to the bustling night market, and a 10 minute walk to the tourist strip) and some are aggressive. We didn't have any serious issues but you might be less lucky, especially if you're alone. If you've rented a scooter, this won't be a problem.

    What more do you need?!

I love staying here! This place isnt perfect but thats the charm of it! It has so many pros. Its quiet, down by the river, my most recent stay i walked up at 12am and they checked me into a bungalow straight away. The bungalows are spacious and the single rooms, pretty barron but affordable (i don't like the word cheap!)Its close to the main bar road, has sweet staff and the dogs are chill. Ive watched numerous lizards swim by in the river while having a cigarette watching the sun go down. The restaurant next door is wonderful also. Enjoying a club sandwich while i write this. The point to this ramble is its chill, good vibes only

    Not bad for the price

We stayed here for 1 night in the cheapest room (the green hut); I didnt have the best sleep due to some staff having a drink till the early hours and the bed was pretty uncomfortable; I also noticed the pillow was pretty mouldy under the cover. The shower head was a little broken, so it sprayed everywhere. The door in the bathroom didn't close properly, which I wouldn't have been bothered by, but the extractor fan had no cover on it, so mosquitoes could get into the room without a problem (However, I did manage to rectify this by putting the shower mat between the door and the frame). The room itself was ok, with some nice artwork on the wall and two fans was enough to stop it from getting too warm. If you like your comforts I'd pay a little extra for a different room, but for the price (250 baht), you cant really complain.
