  Hermoso lugar , comida deliciosa !!

  Llegamos en grupo , para dos días de descanso de la caminata de Charlotte. Fue hermoso !!....la pieza amplia en colores neutros , con terraza y vista al mar ...bello !! El entorno es sublime , con lindas caminatas , bicicletas y Kajak disponibles . La comida excepcional , buenísimos vinos y el desayuno de primer nivel. La atención excepcional y los masajes ...por favor háganlo ...son espectaculares , el entorno de sueño !! Solo me faltó una piscina o jacuzzi al exterior ...fué lo único que faltaba para ser excepcional !!

  Lugar mágico

  El hotel tiene un encanto especial gracias al sitio en el que está. Para llegar, tuvimos que coger dos water taxi y una furgoneta; suena a demasiada aventura pero está organizado de maravilla. El hotel está al borde del lago, en medio de la naturaleza y con unas vistas increíbles. Nuestro cuarto también daba al lago. El servicio muy agradable; nos trato especial bien el señor que se ocupó de recogernos y llevarnos el primer y último día. La comida, porque solo puedes desayunar comer y cenar ahí (no hay nada cerca) estaba muy buena pero los platos eran enormes. La única pega es que desde el cuarto se oía todo lo que pasaba, y que el aspecto del hall de bienvenida y de los pasillos podría mejorar, pero el hotel merece la pena solo por donde está y los paseos que se pueden dar. Nosotros pedimos prestadas las bicis y nos fuimos a dar un paseo muy bonito. Hotel muy recomendable para las personas amantes de la naturaleza, que no les importe estar desconectados por unos días.

  Absolutely Magical

  We have just had the most blissful week staying at Raetihi Lodge - I didnt want to go home! Under the expert care of Liane, Alan, and their team, our large family group of 19 was able to dine, relax, explore and play to our hearts content! The lodge itself has been recently and tastefully refurbished. We enjoyed evening drinks on the patio overlooking the ocean in the last rays of the spring sun, and then moved to the main reception room to sit on plush chairs by the fire. The pre-dinner platters and nibbles were absolutely divine. The food all round was exceptional - the best beef fillet Ive ever had in all my travels, and too many other stand outs to mention! We had 9 kids with us aged 3-14 years - and all had plenty to keep them entertained and engaged during the week. They had a special dinner organised for them while the parents relaxed at the end of the day (BEST THING EVER!!) And Bells and Bella were lovely friends to them during our stay - playing with the younger girls, taking the older kids to see glow worms, getting them set up with soccer, the pool table - nothing was ever a problem. Having the lodge to ourselves made it easy for us all - especially the kids - to spread out and make the place their own; they felt very much at home and able to play safely in the grounds. So many activities and things to do. From swimming to boating to fishing to walks to soccer, and to simply relaxing with a book - we did it all! The place is so well set up that you can do as much or as little as you like. Juli the masseuse was also second to none and very deserving of a mention! What makes Raetihi stand out from the rest is the personal touches and attention to detail. Everyone knew our names and preferences within the first day, and we truly felt like an extension of the family. The hospitality and care was impeccable. Too many other highlights to mention (have I mentioned the dolphins we saw on the trip home back from Raetihi to Havelock?!) but needless to say we had one of the most happy family holidays ever. Meant to be in Fiji but thanks to Covid we came here - what an absolute blessing in disguise!!! We will absolutely be back. Thank you so much to the team at Raetihi - we will see you next time.

  Amazing lodge for friends & family retreat!

  We were a group of around 20 adults plus 16 children (under 5) and it was perfect for us! There were activities galore and a variety of spaces for us to socialise, retreat to or explore. The food was amazing and they even designed the childrens menu to suit toddlers. They went above and beyond to ensure every age was taken care including two games rooms (one for kids and one for adults), pilates and an amazing masseuse. We also loved the fact all the rooms are connected by a long hallway - baby monitors worked or the kids simply just walked down into the lounge/dining room if they couldnt/wouldnt sleep :-) We had a DJ in the group too who was able to set up with the lodges own sound/light equipment to take us through to the New Year. So from kiddies life jackets for the rowboat or espresso martinis for us adults in the evening this lodge has it all. PLUS the amazing views! We will be back!

  Fabulous stay

  Raetihi Lodge is an escape like no other. In the Kenepuru Sounds, from Allans wonderful greeting at the onset and informative narrative of just about anything in the area - truly an infectious personality skills, to wife Liannes tour of the premises, not withstanding Frank and Elodies amazing hospitality in the restaurant and facilities.... this location and lodge is hard to beat. Upmarket, yet informal. Fabulous food catered to individual needs. Relaxing, restorative and a lot of fun. Oh, forgot the pool table and gaiety in the evenings, plus free kayaks. Dont second guess yourself.... book your stay!
