  Good stay

  Check in: We arrived at this hotel and on approaching check in we could see the fear in the receptionists face that we were English. She called over her colleague and between them they checked us in efficiently although there was no further information provided re breakfast etc. Chinese restaurant: on our first night we decided to eat in the Chinese restaurant as it was getting late and we didnt want to head out. The gentleman in there spoke no English (not a criticism as we dont expect everyone to speak English). We were the only people in the restaurant, the menu was in English so we got by, by pointing and using a translation app. The food came out quickly but one dish at a time. It was fresh and tasted great and when looking at the menu we thought it was reasonably priced. After bringing out our food we never saw the staff member again and had to go and ask for the bill. To our surprise it had added 9% service charge and 6% tax and a can of coke was charged at 40¥ which looking back must have been wrong! Breakfast: we only had breakfast one morning as we were up super early the other days. We were pleased to find that after 9:45 breakfast was 65¥ each rather than the usual 136¥. There was lots of variety of food and we thought it was worth what we paid. Overall: the room we stayed in was a non smoking room but did smell of smoke on arrival. It was clean however with the usual amenities. The first day we went out shortly after 10 and got back at 16:00 ish. Our room was never cleaned this day. We arranged a taxi to Disney with a different member of staff to the lady who checked us in. She spoke good English and was really helpful about what time we should get there etc. We used public transport to get into the city (near the bund). Shanghai west railway station is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and it took us about 20 minutes (1 line change) to get to yuyuan station. Overall Id say this hotel is good for the money. The location isnt ideal but is manageable.

  good location, nice room, good deal

  Within 4 minutes walk of line 11 West Shanghai Railway Station, this hotel is very accessible if you don't want to get a taxi - its 4 stations north of line 2 the great airport connector line. I stayed for one night and I used it as a base even after I had checked out. Staff were efficient and friendly and the price via a deal website was affordable. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but the bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The wifi system is a bit ropy and required a visit to the front desk to fix

  Not Super Luxurious But Still A Good Hotel

  A Colleague & Myself booked ourselves into Radisson Blu - Hong Quan Hotel on 18th April 2019 because we were visiting Shanghai for a Vendor's Summit held at Hotel Renaissance - Putuo Hotel. The distance between our meeting & this Hotel was the main factor in choosing this Hotel. The tariff we got for each room was around RMB 600 approx (not including breakfast), but breakfast per person before 7:00am is only 60 RMB per person. The Shanghai West Railway Station Metro Station is only a 5-7 min walk from the Hotel. This Hotel is not as luxurious as Freemont Peace Hotel, JW marriott, Renaissance, Radisson on Nanjing Road, etc but its still a good 5 star hotel. Closest Family Mart is only 1 min walk. Will definitely stay again if visiting that area, but personally I prefer staying at Nanjing Road or People's Square area.

  Not a 5 star expierience

  No Taxi available... Got late for Work many times, sometimes i wait for almost an hour! Staff is Not really helpful mostly. Room cleaning could be much better! A/C in the First room was Not working, they told me to fix it but nothing happend...

  Hotel doesn't stand for the stars it claims.

  Being a Radisson Blu brand your expectations are at different level. But from the checkin to room to in room amenities to quality of food served everything will disappoint you. If you need to go for some work and need to catch taxi keep atleast 20-30 minutes extra to get taxis. The only plus is that it is near to Shanghai West Railway Station.
