  Great family stay

  Situated just outside of Ballarat in a small country ton called Creswick, my wife, 2 kids and I stayed here for a long weekend. The hotel is well maintained and plenty of amenities for to family including gold course, tennis, mountain bike riding, pool and games room for the kids. Free wifi is available for guests. Breakfast is a fairly limited menu but caters to most tastes and our kids were very happy. The main bar area near the foyer has a great view of the gold course and you could see the kangaroos lounging on the course in the evening. Service was excellent from all staff.

  Great accommodation and very nice food

  We stayed here for two nights with friends, played golf, ate, drank and had a fabulous time. Our room was wonderful and overlooked the golf course, it was very spacious, exceptionally clean, had two king size beds, a kitchenette with sink and fridge, espresso machine, a balcony and a spa in the bathroom. The restaurants and bars were terrific, lovely food with very generous serving sizes. The golf course is quite hilly, we took an electric cart, it was challenging but really nice to play, plenty of kangaroos late afternoon. The entire staff in every capacity were welcoming, efficient, friendly and just the best in every way. I highly recommend visiting this venue, we will definitely return.

  Great family accommodation

  This well equipped family resort is certainly worth its weight in gold :) It has good amenities and the rooms are clean, spacious and beds comfortable. Whilst there wasn't a buffet breakfast (due to the pandemic) this is not the end of the world really. Buffets can encourage over eating! Lol I liked the pool, the playground and the close proximity to Ballarat centre. Would come back and stay again for sure Highly recommend a meal at Odessa Restaurant in Creswick. Its a very cool, olde worlde pub/bar with chandelier fixtures. The scallop and curry pie i had there was amazing. They arent listed on TripAdvisor but they should be.

  Spent 1 night here in February 2021

  Stayed 1 night, room 101. This is an apartment with separate lounge overlooking the fairways. Very comfortable room and super quiet at night. Very comfortable bed and walk in shower. Had dinner at the restaurant on-site (had the lamb shoulder to share) which was terrific. Staff really helpful. Only downer was that the bar was not open (Sunday) which I think was due to being a quiet night. Staff supplied ice and we sat outside on the balcony instead with a few drinks we had brought with us. The only reason I gave a score of 4 was due to the bar not being open.

  Not a Resort but a 3.5 star Establishment

  This holiday was one my wife and I were really looking forward to.This was a "Luxury Escape Package" holiday for 2 nights and we expected something special. With all the border closures and uncertainty about traveling interstate, I really expected something better than what was offered to us.Boy were we disappointed ! There were numerous faults The Room.. Firstly the shower which was incredibly small and tight I just fitted into it and surprisingly there was no room to move around !!! The shower had little or no pressure. The hot water seemed to be only lukewarm ..(seemed to be completely cold from 1100pm !!!) We were on the 3rd floor and couldnt understand why the pressure was so bad !!? My wife had to wash her hair in the bath as the pressure in the shower was non existent . The shower water leaked on the floor badly.The water would continually leak out of the base and onto bathroom floor.We had to use 2 towels to mop up the overflow of water. No written literature in room with regard to checkout times or facilities services or anything about COVID rules and regulations (Im SURE they will say its due to new Covid procedures causing this BUT all other hotels Ive stayed out in the last 2 months ALL have been supplying it!) No pencil or writing paper,No "Do Not Disturb" or Makeup Room card, room had a VERY small fridge with no racks inside ? One had to tune into the TV for any information BUT this was NOT advised at checkin and we only realised this on the day we were checking out ! This "resort" was NOT FULL or busy and had PLENTY of rooms available (as mentioned from a staff member on duty) and the room they gave us overlooked the car par and not facing the lush Golf course ??! No doubt, they gave us a second rate room . Dining.. Meals are very ordinary and not worth the cost. Breakfast which was included with the package had the smallest glass fruit cup Ive ever seen along with yogurt.They were put into an individual tiny glass that was just about impossible to retrieve the fruit fromeven with a teaspoon ! Hot breakfast was 2 eggs on an unbuttered toast along with bacon and Hash Browns.Coffee served was strong even though asked for weak latte. For dinner I had a Wagyu Beef Burger (cost $24.00) and the meat was very thin and practically non existent in the unbuttered bun.Added to that Im sure the bun wasnt fresh as it tasted old and somewhat stale.My wife had the Calamari entree and had it as a mains (cost $22.00) which was ok. Dont expect anything special to eat in this restaurant as the menu is very limited with options.Service from the staff was good though. Checkout.. On checkout they wanted to charge for barista coffee which I had at breakfast.When no mention of this cost was told to me at breakfast, I refused to pay it and there was no argument from the girl at reception.Disturbingly on checkout, reception girl Rebecca took my credit card and handled it swiping it across the reader to pay the bill...and yet on checkin did not want to touch any card or touch anything I had due to Covid issues ??! My wife was EXTREMELY disappointed with this stay .This is NOT a Resort and was NOT a great holiday break but something we put up with and overall it was pretty ordinary ! I completed an In house survey over 3 weeks ago advising all these issues and I have had no correspondence from the manager or any one at this establishment. They obviously dont want to discuss faults they are aware of.
