  Wonderful place to stay in Sao Vincente Ferreira

  What can I say, this place is wonderful. We had a lovely cabin near the pool and vinyard and loved every minute of our stay. Selmo and Esmeraldo are lovely and very helpful (I probably exhausted poor Selmo with all my questions) and gave us lots of great advice on things to do and see and also helped us with car rentals and other little things. I'd definitely come back and would recommend this place to everybody going to Sao Miguel.

  Little piece of heaven

  Very nice place to spend few days, or more. The quinta is built in 18xx and remade into a B&B with great taste and choice of furniture, keeping alive the atmosphere of the period in all details. Modern commodities are also there and owners are beautiful persons, taking really good care of their guests. You get a family feeling and are treated like a family member. It reminded me of vacations spent at my grandparents when I was a kid. The cottages are placed inside a vast courtyard, surrounded by vegetation, there is a pool with lounges and barbecue, two common halls rustically furnished with everything to spend a nice evening with other guests, a little gym, etc. The owner will be more than happy to borrow you a bike or call one of the tourism agencies to arrange everything from swimming with dolphins and fishing to car rental. If you are in Sao Vicente for the evening or lunch make sure to try out Solar Rei dos Frangos restaurant just maybe 600m from the quinta! We just finished our vacation in Sao Miguel and are already looking forward to come back,not in small measure due to Anselmo and his beautiful family.

  Very good stay at Anselmo's!

  We felt very welcome thanks to Anselmo in his very nice property. All equipped with a common swimming pool, barbecue and kitchen. Good breakfast with local products is served in a nicely antique decorated room which used to serve for production of wine. Our room was relatively small but cosy. The location is quite good to explore the Western and central part of the island (Sete Cidades etc.) I give it four stars plus one for the adorable dogs Neko and Marley (+plus the newcomer puppy which wasn't named yet :)

  Beautiful place

  Lovely traditional quinta set in lush gardens with original features. Nice breakfast and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Excellent place to access the north west of the island. Roomy accommodation. Three friendly dogs too.

  Friendly host, beautiful place

  Me and my wife stayed here for four days and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The host was very welcoming and gave us good tips where to eat and what to see. The breakfast was beautifully layed out and while simple it certainly had all we needed (bread, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, coffee etc). The pool area and garden were beautiful and I enjoyed the complimentary billiards table as well.
