Paz, gusto, amabilidad y piscina. Limpio, coqueto y tranquilo. Un diez!

Too expensive for the offer. Descriptions weren't align with realityWe arrived here at the end of 2 great weeks around north and center of Portugal. We had checked before this place several times and by the pictures it looked great, so this time we decided to pay a visit and stay here for 2 nights. When we arrived the fist impression was that the place was very dry and not well kept, the paint on the building is old and dirty and the green area is only around the pool and that's it...and even around the pool the maintenance and care for the place it's not that great and the garden furniture (sun loungers) were very cheap/uncomfortable...after 2 weeks in other fantastic places around the country, this was really a deception. After checking in and arriving to the room, the nice young lady that received us, showed us the commodities, where again the description of what we booked was not aligned...The suite specification says that there is cable TV and the TV has 4 channels, for a family suite with small kids, cartoons is always a plus... but the critical part is that it says the suite has a kitchenette with a refrigerator and the kitchenette is a cabinet with a sink, a micro-wave and a minibar... There was no place to cook a meal and no refrigerator...we had just gone to the supermarket to buy food for our meals...the Minibar is very small and doesn't refrigerate anything properly...and if we want to have a meal we had to go to Portalegre for it...we were very disappointed with the place particularly because it was quite expensive and in our opinion the price/quality/offer does not match. This was by far the worst of all places we stayed in our 2 weeks vacations and the most expensive. We'll not return

Wish I had stayed longer!Beautiful surroundings, very comfortable and well-appointed rooms, welcoming and pleasant staff including Chica and Ginger, the two playful Labradors. Just a few minutes away from Portalegre, which is certainly worth a visit, at the very least to see the wonderful Tapestry Museum.

Lovely AccommodationThis is a lovely place to spend at least 2 nights. Its a bit tricky to find.....GPS is helpful. Our intention was to use Cabeças do Reguengo as a base to explore the Alentejo nearby including Castelo de Vide & Marvao. We stayed in a Superior Double Room that is exactly as it appears on their website, as are all the photos very accurate. Very clean and spacious and well appointed with a lovely bathroom, small kitchenette, very comfortable bed & linens. The view of the countryside from our balcony was so pretty and also from the bathroom window! I loved sitting on the balcony in the morning listening to the birds & cowbells and again at night watching the twinkle of the village lights below. The staff (its run by the family) were very helpful & accommodating. After a day exploring we didnt feel like driving into Portalegre to a restaurant (they made several suggestions) so we chose the offer of a snack (up until 7:00 pm).....toasted cured ham and cheese on delicious home made bread with beverage of choice including wine. If theres a downside to Cabeças its the absence of a restaurant on site or nearby. The self-serve breakfast was outstanding.....including homemade yogurt & jams, fresh homemade breads, granola & pastries, selection of cold meat & cheese, fruits. If desired the kitchen will prepare freshly cooked farm fresh eggs on request. Theres lots of comfortable space inside to relax and outside to walk. Highly recommended

Great stay with excellent hospitalityTogether with some friends we stayed for a few nights to learn more about this part of Portugal. It is indeed beautiful and the hotels is an excellent location to enjoy nature and the surroundings. We also enjoyed the wines and the wine tasting by our host. He is making very interesting wines in a traditional way. A most enjoyable stay with very nice owners. The hotel have high standard with a personal design and architecture. The hotel is also integrated with the winery.
