Ok but not worth the priceWe booked as it was so close to where our friends live. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels but this is one of the most expensive so I expected great things. The view from our room was fabulous but that was about it. Room was very small and although not dirty, it was not spotless. There was a noise that was so loud that it made the wall vibrate and it woke us up every morning. We did mention it but just about got a sorry. The whole place could do with a spruce up - peeling wallpaper, worn carpets. In general the staff were lovely and very friendly. Breakfast on the first morning was incredible but sadly, on the second day it was not great. The location is great but the rooms are very over priced

Great view, But!We turned up on the day without booking and the staff was very accommodating. We upgraded to a sea view balcony room. And I have to say the view is amazing. However if there was a but it would be with the balcony needing a bit of attention with a mop and bucket. The room was relatively new in decor and had all the amenities you would expect but I would suggest the price is more for the view and location. Based on these we would book again. One random but, was the nice little note left in the room saying our dressing gowns would be left outside the door later that day. When returning to the room we called down to reception to be told by the very confused staff member that they dont do dressing gowns. Over all great little hotel with very polite and accommodating staff. As its under offer with an asking price of a cool £1 million I hope the new owners spend some money on the decorations and bar area.

Outstanding locstionWe booked as a last minute change of plan due to change of covid tier for our original destination. Yes the rooms are small and slightly tired this did not detract from our stay. All the staff are outstanding and s credit to the owners. All friendly, welcoming and could not do enough for myself and my wife. Jackie and Earl made our evening meal enjoyable, and by the way I have been in the catering industry previously for over 20 years and have to say that the food standard is outstanding from a simple poached egg to the scallops they could not be faulted. Long may you continue and will certainly be back in the near future. Cath & Steve.

Great safe stay great service excellent food thank youJust returned from a two night stay using a travel zoo deal. We upgraded to a harbour view room. We arrived early and were kindly allowed to park in the car park and secure our bags allowing us to go off and explore. The room was very clean and gave a fantastic view into the Harbour. The whole set up was very COVID secure with handsanitiser at all entrance points. The Bed was very comfy. What made this a great stay was the staff who were extremely welcoming at reception and including Hank, Jackie and Josh in the resteraunt who where very attentive and fun. The food was excellent and we heard numerous people make the same comments thank you Chef and team. Each table was screened with perspex but you did not feel isolated just secure allowing you to relax and enjoy the food and wine. The room was cleaned and tidied during our stay and again to a high standard. Small hotels like this need our support during these times and I would encourage anyone thinking of a break to use this Hotel you will not be disappointed. We hope to return soon Thanks to all the front of house and those of the team who are never seen but just make it happen.

Fabulous stayStayed here for 2 nights in October. We bought a voucher a year ago which was meant to have expired at the end of April. They allowed it to be carried forward for us to use in October which is very generous of them. Front of house very friendly and efficient. This hotel is also dog friendly (£18per night charge), room service is available - we used this for breakfast, portion sizes are brilliant and very warm! Pub next door is small but had a nice atmosphere, Good choices of food and portion sizes good. Social distancing in place and hand sanitizer stations are throughout the building. There is a car park available around the corner from the hotel which is free of charge for the guests and is only a 2 minute walk away. They allow you to park right outside of the Hotel for 10 minutes to drop luggage off and take them to the room - similarly when checking out you can drive the car back outside to load back up! The harbour with nice restaurants is also on the doorstep which is a bonus. Thank you Quayside Team for a lovely few nights away!!
