  Friendly Staff and Comfortable Bed

  Hotel looks like its having a facelift. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was good for a one nighter, could have been better cleaned and fresh painting could have been less slapdash. New Bathroom. Great shopping area. Average Breakfast but clean lounge. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything in the room worked OK including internet.

  Comfy Bed and Friendly Staff

  Pluses: The bed was really comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Minuses: The water was hot-ish in the morning, but not as hot as I usually like. It is right next door to a cross-fit training club and at about 9:00 am they started playing REALLY LOUD music.

  Very accomodating staff, nice breakfast area

  The desk staff was wonderful. we needed extra towels and they found some, our keys randomly stopped working and they immediately replaced them, the pool was actually very nice. The new shower heads and bathroom tiles was very nice as was the curtain. The beds were comfortable. My friend was too warm and asked for a thin blanket instead of the comforter and one was brought to our room. Taking into account that this is a lower priced hotel and we needed that to offset our volunteer-vacation at the Tryon Equestrian center for a week - those are very nice attributes. The room however did smell...smoke-like at first, then damp for longer. The carpets need a thorough carpet cleaning, not just vacuuming. There was no way we could rid the room of the damp smell. I bought odor absorbers and smoke-reducing sprays and they helped a little, briefly. The place was full so there was no moving our room, but I would recommend a NON-ground floor room and make sure it doesn't smell when you enter.

  Could be a nice property

  We spent three nights here. I actually spent as much time in the local McDonalds as I did in the room I was paying for because the WiFi was not working any of the time I was here and I had a lot of work that I had to do with internet access. The first night I was told the WiFi was operating and it was a fault of my computer which proved to be false. They told me the guest computer in the lobby was operating but the lobby is locked at 10:00 and I could not use it. Turns out it was not operating. The guest information book in the room clearly says coffee is available 24 hours a day in the lobby area but with access to the lobby from 10:00 to 6:00 it may be available, but not to guests. On two different occasions in the breakfast room we watched the breakfast attendant wipe down the counters with a damp cloth, and then without washing her hands or putting on gloves, she proceeded to restock the egg patties, sausages, and pastries with her bare hands. Therefore we stayed with cereal which we assume was not handled with bare hands. Each morning at 9:00 the housekeepers knocked on our door and asked if we needed any supplies. We did need towels. But at no time during the three days did they make up our room or do any cleaning. We were out of the room the majority of the day and fully expected to return and find our room made up. This never happened. The hotel and the room are really quite nice but much training is needed to make this property acceptable.

  Excellent place

  If your ever in Greer SC this is the place to stay. Clean rooms, hot breakfast. The staff is very friendly. I want to thank Christie for being so kind and friendly. Christie was very helpful to me. Thank you quality Inn in Greer, SC for a wonderful stay.
