    A weekend in Moose aw

The room was great -- large, clean, well-equipped with a kitchenette, eating area, sofa area. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, the shower somewhat ineffective, and amenities were not great. And even though we were right across from the elevator (on a hockey tournament weekend), it was relatively quiet. It was very warm in the room, and even though we adjusted the thermostat downward, we had to turn the a/c on to cool it. TV selection was abyssmal!! None of the usual channels, although great radio/music selections. Breakfast was a little better than standard hotel selections, with fresh waffles, eggs, etc., but wouldn't want to eat it every day. Location was along the highway, but not really possible to walk into town. Overall, we feel it was great value for price, mostly because of the size of the room. Comfort over style, and it certainly met our needs adequately.

    Pet friendly, above & beyond!

What a great stay this has been! I wish I could stay longer! The hotel is super clean and comfy and the staff are welcoming and genuinely friendly. I came with 2 dogs and their team made us feel extra welcome, even offering doggy daycare and dog park suggestions plus taking extra measures to make my dogs enjoy a comfy stay too! The room is newer and well maintained and every room has its own fully equipped kitchenette space, which really helped bring down meal costs on this trip. The bed is extra comfy, access is convenient both to the room in the hotel and to amenities in town while being a quick find off of the highway, and the staff taking friendly to a whole new level made for an awesome stay! If I ever come back this way I will definitely be returning to this hotel!

    Very Nice Hotel

Very nice hotel and appears fairly new. Was clean and bed was comfortable. Complementary breakfast was offered when checked in, but in the morning the menu of the fridge was pretty non existent. Just some fruit and small cereal boxes (no milk), breakfast wraps were no present as stated in the menu. Overall very nice and would stay there again

    Great hotel and staff

Check in was efficient and protocols in place for COVID. Room was delightful, large and spacious with a kitchenette. Room very modern and clean as was the bathroom. Beds were made with excellent bed linens and mattresses very comfortable. A terrific room for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was the best Grab and Go type we have ever experienced. Wonderful breakfast wraps with scrambled egg type filling, individual cereals and milk, juices, fruit as well as coffee. Someone obviously put some thought and effort into a breakfast to go in lieu of full breakfast which could not be given as a result of the COVID protocols in place. It was not your cheap and tacky tasteless muffins, water and a piece of fruit so many others hand out. Thanks for the great effort!

    Spacious and well equiped

The Quality Inn & Suites in Moose Jaw was the most spacious and best equipped hotel in which we stayed during our cross country trek from Southern Ontario to BC and involving 7-hotels in 7-nights. Our selection criteria were for a pet friendly place at reasonable cost. We felt we got more than fair value with the quality of the room and the service received. And, for pet friendly, we were delighted that our dog was welcomed by name and offered a treat. A small drawback is there isn't much grass (yet?) in which doggie business might be done. Upon entering our room we were happy to have a small tiled area and a kitchenette with a small cooktop, a full size refrigerator, microwave, ceramic dishes, real tableware, and wash and dish towels. We took advantage in preparing (reheat) dinner during our stay and used the sink and dish soap to properly wash our travel mugs and a few other things. Like a few other properties in which we stayed, the room has a small table with two chairs. These are best suited for eating meals but not optimal as a workstation. As this wasn't a business trip, not having a desk and workstation chair wasn't a problem. An interesting alternative was that the room was equipped with a laptop desk (see pictures). My daughter fell upon this and happily sat on the bed with her laptop. I did the limited amount of things I needed to do on the dining table. The television was a modern, narrow bezel, flatscreen TV with HD service. It's wall mounted and sited roughly between both Queen beds in the room. The angle is awkward from the table (but the table can be moved easily). Like many (most?) mid-priced hotels, there is but a single night stand between both beds. Above the night stand is a single light fixture with dual light switches. Not the most convenient but not the worst arrangement either. A workaround will be needed to simulate a second nightstand. Perhaps the sitting chair or the odd matching upholstered table would serve? Oh, there's only one wired telephone in the room that's on the upholstered table. The location may or may not be convenient. I don't think the cord reached the desk. A nicety is the clock radio on the single night table provides dual AC outlets and dual USB charging port. We've found that many of the older hotels still require you to hunt for outlets and may necessitate unplugging something if you have a charger to plug in. Having desktop outlets is much more convenient. The beds themselves were very comfortable. One of the few downsides to our room was the lack of counter space in the bathroom. I ended up balancing my toiletries bag on the top of the toilet tank. This is un-ideal as I'm always worried that I'll end up knocking something into the toilet. COVID-19 measures were in place in September 2020 during our stay. The hotel set up hot breakfast for pick-up and to be eaten back in the room. This is a step up from the cold bagged breakfasts we were offered at a few other places or where breakfast was discontinued altogether. The sausage was good, the eggs were a bit on the meh side an would have benefited from some hot sauce, the potatoes had lots of ham included. All told, a hearty and welcome breakfast. One last thing, the Quality Inn & Suites is just down the road from Mac the Moose, the Snowbirds Tutor Jet, and the local Tourism office. Definitely opportunities for photos and/or selfies. We would most definitely stay here again.
