  Convenient, Quiet, Hidden Gem

  You probably won't see this from I81, which means it's going to be quiet. It's conveniently located up on a hill with a lovely view of the valley, and far away from everything. I think its setting helped make it a very relaxing stop on a long journey. Inside is clean, quiet and welcoming. Although it is away from any major roads there is a nice variety of restaurants less than 10 minutes away and a Walmart, 3 minutes. Breakfast options were fine, standard fare for complimentary breakfasts. Wish there were more places like this one.

  Good nights rest!

  We were very pleased with our room. We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived which was a plus. The room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of lighting and places to charge our phones, watch, etc. The room was very quiet. We will always stay here when in the area. They had a limited breakfast due to Covid which we didnt try so I cant comment on it.

  Great!

  We stayed here for an overnight stop. It is very easy to get to from the interstate. It sits atop a hill over looking Shenandoah Valley. They have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the foyer. 24 hour coffee. With Covid they have sack breakfasts ready to go. The pool was not open yet but you may sit outside either there or in the gazebo. Across is a Sheetz gas plaza and in front a Lowes and Super Walmart. Rooms are very clean and well done.

  Only one issue

  The hotel was nice. We loved our suite. The bed was comfy. The room was clean and well stocked. The only complaint was the office clerk did not wear a mask and didn't feel she needed one. Her comments made me wary of Choices coomitment to clean, safe rooms during the pandemic. I wiped everything down with a clorox wipe to be safe. As an older person with some autoimmune system, I can't take risks. I hope management does some training around the covid virus that encourages safety while we travel.

  Clean, With Fast Internet

  Staunton is my usual stop on my 16-hour drive from New England to Tennessee. I have stayed in over a handful of different places in Staunton and Waynesboro, from higher-end hotels to bargain basement chain hotels. This was my first time at the Quality Inn and I booked it based on price (which is my #1 factor for considering a hotel to stay). The location of this Quality Inn was also appealing, being so close to the interstate, making for an easy on and off. This Quality Inn felt brand new, with a huge crystal-clear 40 plasma TV and clean sheets and firm pillows. One standout feature is the internet: it was fast and amazingly remained connected from the first time I logged on until I checked out, something that just doesnt happen at other hotel chains Ive stayed at. With Covid-19, most hotels that offer breakfast have discontinued that practice, but this Quality Inn had yogurts, cereals, pastries, Pop Tarts, milk, juices, and coffee. The only negative aspect about this Quality Inn is that people were smoking in the back stairwell. When going out to my car and taking the back staircase, I could clearly see cigarette ash on the stairs and smell it in the air. When back in my room, the smoke smell was seeping under the door and I had to put a towel down to block the smell. I hope the management can do something about this. Overall I greatly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely consider staying at this Quality Inn again on my next trip to Staunton.
