  Last minute lucky find

  Needed a pet friendly hotel at the last minute when delivery of our rescue dog from the US was delayed by many hours. I called ahead to make sure they had pet friendly rooms still available after finding this hotel online. They accommodated us with a ground floor room with outdoor access. New bath/shower unit and high ceilings gave the room an updated feel. Comfortable beds/pillows, quiet setting even with a basketball team in house and a lovely breakfast that is included are the reasons this hotel is a winner along with very reasonably priced rooms. Would highly recommend and will not hesitate to stay here again if the occasion presents itself.

  My son was in the process of moving to the area and was in a pinch for accommodations. Without going in to the details, Quality Inn & Suites Amsterdam came through in spades! Wonderful accommodation, fast and friendly staff, clean, quiet, everything you could ask for. Highly recommend this hotel for an overnight or an extended stay.

  An Excellent place to stay

  Everything was professional, pleasant, helpful, polite and the breakfast was "real" - actually able to choose real eggs, real bacon, real sausages, real toast etc. Wonderful staff. You can also have bar-service at the desk (given these COVID days). I have to meet the "really stupid" Trip Advisor 200 character rule, so all I can say is Great, Great, Great. Now I have enough characters.

  Very dissaponting.

  Upon arrival on Sept 5, with 2 children aboard eager to use the pool, we we're informed by the front clerk that the pool was closed. This is unacceptable. We had to cancel on the spot and fortunately we were able to find a suitable alternative in St John. This should be clearly stated on the website or indicated when booking, as this seems to the case with other hotel chains. Very dissapointing.

  Room under renovation while we stayed

  Since we are in the middle of a pandemic I would be willing to cut hotels some slack on service level. However, I was surprised that even though this hotel seemed to have hardly anyone else present (It was a near ghost town, the entire 2 day stay we saw no one whatsoever except when we called from the front desk), we were still checked into a room with drywall spackle all over multiple walls, looking like it was under renovation, and no one told us about this. Surely a different room of the same configuration could have been chosen since the hotel seemed to be a ghost town. Bed was also quite uncomfortable. I've paid less money and stayed in far nicer rooms *outside* the pandemic.For the price paid I was not satisfied. I would recommend staying at a nicer hotel in the city.
