  comfy place

  Loved the hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was good. internet was no problem. the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the hotel is close to a great steak house, you could walk t here, BUT probably easier to drive

  This us a below Quality Inn. Always ask to see the room first. Room 116 had a horrible odor, and I, a writer, had to educate the front desk personnel in air filtration. However, I really doubt that a nee filter helped considering that particular smell. The hallway floors were filthy. Room 209 was better, but a foul smell reminiscent of cat litter infused the air. We went out to dinnerin town, and when we got back to our room it was absolutely frigid! We had to bundle under the covers. We turned in for the night, and was awakened rather early due to thin walls. Interior insulation should definitely be considered, as this particular Quality Inn needs to be updated. The beds were okay at best, the water is practically undrinkable- the extra water bottles in my car saved the day. A traditional budget chain hotel free breakfast was at the ready, but the room was freezing; I turned off the air for everyones sake. People thanked me. On to Comfort Inn down the block on the way home. Dont discount all Quality Inns, the Quality Inn located in Clarion PA was great. It was also more reasonably priced. The excessive electrical consumption by the hotels dated inefficient a/c units use of the hotel air condition to try and freshen the air are burdensome to the environment. The carbon footprint of this hotel is well above even 1990 standards. Only 18 more hotels to go this trip.

  Hotel of variable quality in good location for a visit to Grinnell College

  This is our second visit to this Quality Inn. Back in September 2019, I gave it a 5* rating. For this visit, they only receive 3 stars. We were in Room 100 and the internet connection was awful; in order to connect, we had to stand by the sink near the door, and sometimes that did not even work. Once we were able to connect, the link would come and go. We finally went to the lobby to read our email. When we complained the evening of our arrival, we were told by the desk clerk that she could not reset the router. She did offer to move us to another room, but by then we had unpacked and used some of the amenities in the room, so we turned down the offer. When we mentioned the internet problem in the morning, that desk clerk did not seem to believe us and said it should work. In September, we were in Room 207. So I would recommend getting a room close to the router, which is presumably near the front desk. Also in September, I said They kept breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, assorted breads, yogurt plus all the normal amenities) well-stocked. Our first stay was at a very busy time, Grinnell College Parents Weekend with many guests. This stay was the Sunday night after Thanksgiving, and we saw just a few cars in the parking lot. Well, the net result was that the breakfast items sat around because they did not need refilling: the eggs were cold, and the coffee was lukewarm. The room was fine, though the sink and counter (outside the toilet/tub room, which is nice) were small and had no towel bars. We did have a refrigerator (with freezer), microwave, and coffee maker which were nice.

  Best Hotel in Town

  This is fantastic place! I stayed here for a month while moving, and I couldnt be happier with my stay. I was honestly sad to leave! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and affordable. The staff/owners are friendly, welcoming, and willing to help you in any way possible. It practically felt like home! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area!

  Great Stay

  The hotel was very nice. The staff was nice and friendly. This place is pet friendly. They have a pool which my kids utililized to destress and unwind from the long drive. Overall, a great place to stay.
