    Great location - friendly staff - good long term stay

    My mother has stayed here for over 3 - 5 months at a time for the past several years. She is in her 80s .... and escapes the Phoenix hot weather. I have visited numerous times. The staff here -- from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance to management have all been wonderful. Kendyl is the manager. She is very accommodating .. goes out of her way to make sure everything is great for her stay. We can't say enough nice things. Samantha, Denise, Summer, and Taylor at the front desk were always helpful. They assisted in getting her whatever she needed and often helped her with different things. John and Angel in the maintenance area always went out of their way to handle any issues that came up in a timely manner. Housekeeping, Josie and Connie were excellent in the daily housekeeping. The hotel was recently y updated and they continue to make improvements. Great location. Great staff. Nice accommodations. Thank you to all.

    Don't book a stay if you will arrive after 11pm

    Had a 3 night stay booked. Called the hotel to tell them about our arrival time only to find out the hotel owner eliminated the overnight front desk shift so no checkin after 11pm. Only good news is that there was no fee to cancel reservation. Sadly its doubtful we will be staying there again due to this incident. Nothing on the hotel profile about the limited front desk hours either.

    Previously good, now lost my business

    While finishing the last leg of a very long road trip day, called the hotel to let them know I would be arriving late. Was basically told "sorry you can't do that" ,and was told by the front desk the latest I could check in was 11pm. No where in the choice app or in the hotel details indicate this information as far as I could find. Apparently they do have a night manager who is there for emergencies only and has no ability to check people in. Have stayed here in the past many times and had considered it to be one of my go to places to stay, but now I consider the hotel to be on my blacklist. This is all because of the owner, in his "infinite wisdom" decided that the front desk doesn't need staffing between the hours of 11pm and 7am. Apparently costing costs is more important to the owner than actual customer service when it may be needed. So, now I have to pay for a different hotel that costs more. Unfortunately the owner probably care but I likely won't stay here ever again.

    Watch out for this housekeeping scam!

    Heres what happened to me..I stayed one night while on a road trip recently, and although the TV didnt work and it wasnt exactly spotless I was tired and just went to bed. I checked out the next day uneventfully and drove on. When the credit card bill came they dinged me for a 55$ cleaning fee. I called the front desk about a week later after the charges posted, and was told they found used needles in the bed after I checked out. I emphatically claimed they most certainly were not mine, I dont do drugs, and was told to expect a call back from a manager. The call never came, so I called back the next week after searching on trip advisor to find the GM of the property, Kendall Diaz. I called back to speak with Kendall, and guess what? Turns out it was the same person I had talked to the week before! She never mentioned she was the GM on the first call, no wonder why I never got a call back from the manager right? After racking my brain all week as to how this could happen, I asked if the housekeeper gets to keep the cleaning fee, it would seem logical right? Turns out they keep most or all of it, and heres where it gets good. It is on the guest of the hotel to notice any needles or said problems upon check in and alert the front desk. If there are needles are hiding in some dark corner, missed by housekeeping, and left in the room when the guest checks in, it is now the responsibility of that guest to alert the front desk or they will presume they must be yours, and in my case concoct a ridiculous cover story that the housekeeper found used needles in the bed, which I couldnt possibly have NOT noticed so they must be yours, sorry no cleaning fee refund for you. I dont know about you people, but when I check in late and tired on a road trip about the only thing I spot check is the bed and the bathroom, I rip the covers off and make sure it looks clean, crawl in and get some sleep. So one of two things happened, the guest prior to me left needles in the bed and the housekeeper just didnt change the bedding, then I somehow miraculously miss used needles under the covers I rip off before climbing into bed, OR...what I think is going on, and much more likely, is that the housekeeper hides the needles, either somewhere up high enough to not notice, or perhaps under something, then if the guest sees them and proceeds to call the front desk, hey great, it just reinforces the belief this hotel is den of drugs, so when she pulls the scam again its somewhat believable to management. If the guest doesnt notice them hiding in plain sight, maybe on top of the bathroom mirror or somewhere under cover, she then reaps the reward of the clean up fee, plants them in the bed, and you look some forgetful junkie who just leaves needles everywhere, cuz you know thats what junkies do, forget where they left their needles right? So if you check into this hotel, LOOK very very carefully for any needles hiding in plain sight or under some cover, lest you fall victim to the scam I did, where even though I left a generous tip, the maid still pulled this scam off, and then when you call to complain the GM talks to you like your a subhuman junkie, no matter how good of a choice hotels customer you are. Lookout!
