  Needs Some Work, But Overall OK

  The hotel is right across the street from the airport. Really. Right across the street. The first thing I noticed upon arrival was the less than enthusiastic front desk staff. They're not rude, but they're definitely not friendly. We stayed ten days and unless spoken to they don't make a peep... even with eye contactno friendly smile, no greeting, etc. It was strange. As for the room, it was was large and comfortable, yet dated. A few crusty stains on the furniture, but the bed was comfortable. We were there the end of July, on the second floor, so it got hot. A fan doesn't help. For the price of the hotel, they should have some air conditioning... or even a portable unit available per request. Now for the bathroom... water pressure? What water pressure? The shower was fine, but the sink was not. I took video, but apparently Trip Advisor only accepts photos, so see the screenshot of the video. This water pressure (or lack of) never got betterday, night, 2am... no pressure. Breakfast. It was the same as 95% of Choice Hotelsbasically microwaved eggs from a bag, cereal, bread, etc. When they had bacon, it was good bacon, but it was on rotation. There is a restaurant on site, but I don't believe it opens until 3 and closes early.

  Comfortable and Clean

  We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. They had some of the best beds in Alaska. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was excellent and you are within walking distance of the airport....like across the parking lot! You will definitely need a rental car on the island because it is a $25 cab ride to any restaurants and once in the downtown area, you won't be able to get to any for the outside attractions, like the bears! We extended our stay at the last minute because of the fog, that the travel guides forget to tell you about :) They were nice enough to get us back into our original rooms even though they had a lot of unexpected guests showing up due to the weather.

  Excellent Stay and Inn!

  This hotel is very nice. i stayed in the Best Western and the Comfort Inn blows it away. Room was very clean and nice. Fridge and microwave worked perfect. the free breakfast in the morning was way better than the best western. the owners are great and will help you out with whatever you need. there is a restaurant/bar there with excellent food and beverages. parking is way better than the best western. so much better for pets too. there is plenty of grass area for dogs to run and go to the bathroom unlike the best western that only has a very small grass area. only 5 minutes from downtown and 2 mins away from the CG base. I would highly recommend the Comfort Inn in Kodiak over the Best Western anyway. 5 Stars all the way!!

  Wonderful Stay

  The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and my room was super clean. I got weathered in and they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Very nice seating area for breakfast as well as in the lobby, which made waiting an additional 6 hours for my flight so much more enjoyable than sitting in the airport. Will definitely choose this hotel in the future!

  Simply perfect

  Had an over night stay and could not have been more pleased with the service. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Kitchen staff made us a special breakfast when we were late up! Rooms were clean and suitably resourced for our needs. Ideal location right next to the airport and downtown is a quick taxi ride.
