  One night stand

  Decided to stay here for one night as my wife was working in Brisbane near the Airport to give her a break from having to drive the M1 We booked a room with a walk-in shower and at $115 it was very reasonably priced The room had a queen size double plus a single bed so it may be suitable for a small family group. Just the queen bed would have suited us. The room was quite clean and very spacious with a desk to work at and a nice little balcony opening out onto Kingsford Smith Drive. It was on the first floor but there is a lift in the building for people of my age and generous build. The balcony appeared to have two glass doors you could close to lessen the traffic noise. It was a fairly hot day and the air con worked well. The room sits almost above the swimming pool so some pool noise is to be expected in warmer weather during pool times. We had dinner at the inhouse Balinese restaurant and the food was very good along with the service. The breakfast menu looked O'K but we decided to go elsewhere because it looked really busy and we were short on time. Being about 500-700 metres walk from the Brisbane Cruise Terminal there are plenty of food options Not entirely sure about this one. Reasonably good value but there is plenty of competition along this strip. If you like Balinese food or are keen to try it, then this may be the place to stay for you

  Dirty, Stinky and Dodgy

  We booked here as it was pet friendly and close to the airport. Upon entering our 2 bed apartment (room #35), we were hit with a foul smell - quite obviously urine on the carpet. This was a pet friendly room and there were stains all over the floor. The couches were filthy too. We quickly opened the doors and windows to try and rid the smell. It didn't work. As it was a hot day, we closed the apartment up and put the air conditioner on. Minutes later, there was a steady leak coming from the air conditioner and landing on the powerpoint below it that ran the TV. I went to the reception and asked for a room change. We ended up in a nicer room (room #40). Not long after we were in the room, we were picking up broken glass and bits of sharp wire off the floor. Not ideal considering we had a 1 year old and a dog with us. When I opened the door to go into the courtyard, I was greeted by alcohol bottles full of cigarettes and cans of spirits - despite this being a non smoking room. At 1am, we had kids running along the outside of our bedroom window and screaming in the carpark. Not ideal considering we had a baby trying to sleep. To top things off, I was overcharged for my stay and had to make contact to arrange a refund. This place is an absolute dump and completely run down. Avoid at all costs - there are just too many things going wrong! This was one of my worst stays ever in a motel.

  Handy Location, Average Motel

  My wife, 2 young kids & I decided to stay here on the way home to North Queensland as it was reasonably priced ($120/night), good location & most reviews were acceptable. The receptionist was less than appealing & did not explain a thing about the motel. Upon entering the room (#6) we ensured air con worked & room was clean. We had to chase up towels & pillows as there were only 2 of each in the room. The fold out bed for the kids had a mattress thinner than a swag mattress!! The apparent queen bed was a double bed & very uncomfortable. Room was reasonably clean & bathroom was provided with shampoo, conditioner & shower gel. One positive was the shower pressure was awesome!! As the motel was reasonably full the car park does not cater for this so we had to park a block away in a back street!!!! (even though restaurant has been closed) Waking up to check out we found broken glass all over our balcony!! Motel needs a good clean or better off a refurbishment!! Motel is in a very handy location, walking distance to the portside wharf (restaurants, bars, shops) , Brett's Wharf Ferry Terminal& Hamilton Hotel.

  Amazing!

  Very affordable for what your getting. Beds and pillows where so comfortable and blankets where warm, very clean! And the staff where absolutely amazing! Couldnt have stayed at a better hotel. Best experience yet! And for a fraction of the price anywhere else.

  Excellent Location to Airport

  Great Location for airport and cruise terminal. Great value, Stayed here after dropping family off at the airport. Close to restaurants and eat street markets, restaurant also on site, only downfall is the people going to the restaurant use the hotels car parks.
