  Perfect location near the water

  The hotel is perfectly situated near the water, and with several reastautrants nearby. Staff is friendly, rooms are spacious with comfy beds. There is also an inhouse restaurant (Brasserie X) and a bar. We only visited the bar, and staff there was very friendly and accommodating.

  Weekend with family

  Very average hotel with conference like interior, nothing special but good location, no housekeeping service as of covid 19, very left alone to ourself no recognition or extra service what so ever. Breakfast felt like a school trip

  Awful

  Awful experience at this hotel. When we checked in we was met very welcoming with good service and by a friendly man. But this was the only good experience here. The room appeared old with worn out bed and interior as the tv, bathroom and so. Not nice and not comfortable. At breakfast they had few choices (of course because covid-19 restrictions, but at another hotel we stayed, they had a big buffet and had solved it excellent), the food was not labelled and the staff couldn't answer what kind of bread it was. It was also a staff, a woman, walking around at breakfast-area and speaking with disturbing voice and volume, who talked with everybody while collecting dishes (even when she had passed by or was far away from the people she talked to she yelled at people). Can't understand why the hotel thinks this is a good idea of service to people having a calm breakfast. It was clear that the guests wanted a peaceful start to the day as we saw the negative reactions on the faces around us including ourselves. We had also booked time at the rooftop pool. Here there was rules that guest did not follow, and its ruins the experience for others that the hotel did not have staff up here to have control. Do not recommend this hotel.

  Nice hotel, disappointing breakfast

  We visited during corona and so had a different than normal experience. The room was lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. Upon checking in, we requested a slot at the pool and were told it was booked until the following evening. We took this, unfortunately it was raining the next day so we didnt get to use to pool. Breakfast was interesting. Measures had been put into place to encourage social distancing, however one has to queue to talk to the staff about what to put in your plate. I found this fustrating as social distancing was not enforceable in the queue and I felt that it negated all the other measures. As a vegan, I asked if they could make me something, as the main line of food was bacon, sausage, 2 kinds of eggs, etc. I was brought out a bowl and some vegan yogurt as well as a glass of soy milk. The bowl consisted of lettuce, some chopped veggies with chili olives, and sweet and sour sauce. One of the strangest breakfasts I've ever recieved. The next day I just got bread and jam from the line and asked for some soy milk for my coffee. Vegan options definetly need to be improved! Other than breakfast, we enjoyed our stay.

  Room with a view

  This hotel is located by the canal in the heart of Tønsberg. Short walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Comfortable clean room with a great view overlookng the canal. Paid underground parking.
