  Unfortunately, lacked attention to detail.

  On first appearances, the hotel building, reception, rooms and restaurant all seem relatively impressive. Unfortunately, the two day stay revealed shortcomings. The room was sparsely furnished, with no table or chairs to sit at for eating and only one plastic chair on the balcony. The shower was hot and forceful but flooded the bathroom floor! First appearances of the room and bathroom were good, but the attention to detail was disappointing. The restaurant provided an interesting menu in relaxed surroundings, but when the G&T was made with flat tasteless post-mix tonic water and had neither a slice of lemon or lime, it was not a good start. On being served a well done steak instead of medium rare as ordered, just compounded the lack of detail that we experienced at this property.

  Shut the room

  As two couples i had booked two rooms at the hotel. Staff were very friendly on check in and the rooms were a great size and very clean. Everything was ideal until... my friends experienced their bathroom flooding on showering before going out for dinner. They reported this and the staff fixed it. Then it happened again the next morning. On checkout we explained it to the desk person and he said there were problems with the rooms and they could not get it fixed because of covid..no compensation was offered and to be honest if you know you have a room(s) that have issues dont open them up. Leave them unoccupied. Poor and very unprofessional excuse.

  No staff after 10.30pm

  Be aware this hotel does not have staff available after 10.30pm. Last Saturday night our neighbours decided to have a party. At 12.15 I knocked on the door and asked them to turn down the music but it continued until 3.30am. I rang reception but received a message that no-one was available so I left a message! In the morning when I raised my concerns, they were not very interested. Lucky it wasn't anything more serious! Very disappointing as this hotel charges top dollar for Bendigo.

  Spacious and relaxing

  Stayed a night passing through from Adelaide to Sydney. My adult son and I were upgraded totally for free and without asking to a luxurious room which was spotless, huge, minimalist furniture style. Such good value. We needed a twin room, and the room provided had a separate bedroom entirely for the second queen sized bed! We ate at the restaurant downstairs, where the service was good and the quality, presentation as well as the actual cooking skills of the chef were all top class. There was ample non-allocated parking on site. Very pleased and would stay again.

  Couples night in Bendigo

  Spent a Saturday night in Bendigo with wife at the Quality Hotel Lakeside. Stayed in the King Suite with lake view. The room was bigger than expected, very clean with balcony. Few snacks and alcohol/soft drinks in bar fridge. Staff very friendly and free car park underneath or lots outside free. Really enjoyed my stay. Directly across the road is the lake with big kids playground and in the car park theres food vans and coffee van throughout the whole day.
