  Very easy to find opposite the station and the bay.......

  ......and the red colour! The hotel is a little tired (scruffy really). However, it is central with a small car park next to the hotel, but, although first hour is free, 24 hours is kr 80. We were on a 5 day round trip, staying in Quality Hotels only and this was the first hotel in the chain which offered free refreshments in the lobby. (We paid Kr20 in the other ones). The room we were given (we were on a bonus night) was on the fourth floor with a balcony with views over the bay and the sunset and sunrise were absolutely beautiful. The breakfast in the restaurant was an absolute surprise. The room was lovely and the food was equally so. We understand there is a lot of building work going on to enlarge and improve the hotel, so in the meantime, guests will just have to 'put up with any inconvenience'. The staff is lovely.

  Under construction but excellent staff and good service

  The room was allergi friendly with woodfloors and No carpets. Bed was good and the view from the room was excellent. Good working desk, fast delivery of hot water in shower. No minibar. The breakfast was Superior and the service even better.

  UPBF World Championship Larvik

  Stayed at this hotel two yrs running now, staff are very helpful. Rooms are clean & tidy. Fairly central to town. The restaurant is lovely cusuine There is a big refurb going to be completed for end of 2020

  Very average rooms, old n worn

  Staff are friendly and the public area downstairs are OK. Decent resteraruant. However the room I had was old and worn, the water had to be run for ages until it was hot enough to take a shower and the shower was a big step over the bath type. No grab rails and no shower mat provided. Potentially very dangerous. I mentioned this to the staff and the fact I had recently had knee surgery. Nothing was done. My room backed onto a massive hole in the ground and a building site. No curtains in the bathroom and this is overlooked by apartment blocks uphill across the building site...

  Excellent food abd service

  Though the outside of the hotel was a building site, the atmosphere inside was calm and friendly. The rooms were nice although many years of had made their toll to the interior. However everything was excellent, the sewrvice and the food. The breakfast had deverything you could wish, the lunch was faboulous and the dinner was superb. Was there for four days and I enjoyed every meal. An excellent stay at a hotel that looked worn from the outside.
