  Comfy off Nuremberg hotel

  Hotel is located in city Furth just next to the Nuremberg (6km out from city center) nice clean rooms and good breakfast to enjoy also parking is available but at 11 eur a day price. Near the hotel are plenty of restaurants where to choose your own.

  Nice small hotel near main street

  Been there twice till now. Near hotel entrance is a small parking place for guests. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast is tasty with various options. Overall impression is good, also if we consider ratio between what you get and how much you need to pay for.

  Basic hotel, lacking any real charm

  Not a massive hotel but in a good location. Check in was a fairly slow affair & it took approx. 20 minutes from when I entered the hotel until I was in the lift up to my room & there was nobody else checking in at the time. My room was small & very basic, facing on to the busy street outside & even with the windows closed I was still aware of traffic noise. Also, there was not a lot of natural light getting in to the room & I certainly couldnt call it bright. Other than that, things were fine if not expecting 4 or 5 star luxury & facilities. Clean, simple décor, laminate flooring, two single beds, large wardrobe, tv, dresser, luggage rack. Wifi was ok, free, accessed by password given on a ticket at reception. It did drop a few times when I hadnt accessed it for a while but there was no problem in getting reconnected. There was a minibar in the room with pils costing 2.90 Euros, 500mls of kellerbier 3.20, 500mls of still water 2.40, 250mls of sparkling water 2.40, cola 2.40, Schweppes 2.60, chocolate bars 2.70. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. My room was non smoking but I was surprised that there was no visible smoke alarm in the room. No iron in the room but there was a room for ironing located close to the sauna. The bathroom was small & a little bit too warm (radiator heated) with a small shower cubicle, rain head shower on hose with good pressure & plenty of hot water, liquid soap, shower gel, hairdryer, plenty of towels, ceiling vent/fan, no shaving socket. An awful lot of steam built up in there after a hot shower. I didnt take the option of paying extra for breakfast, instead having breakfast in Furths old town on both mornings of my stay. The hotel bar was located right next to the reception desk & had some nice beers at reasonable prices but it just never seemed to be used. I didnt use the hotels sauna but it did seem to be quite popular & well used. The hotel car park is located next to the hotel, I didnt use it & so, cannot say if there was a charge for it. My train to the airport was at 15.45 & I left my luggage in the hotel after checking out. The hotel provided this service for free but the luggage was stored in a corner of the restaurant & the lady that checked me out was quite insistent that I could only leave my luggage until 15.00. There are a number of bars, cafes, fast food outlets & restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. From the train station, with wheeled luggage, it took me just under 20 minutes to walk to the hotel. From the Christmas market, 15 minutes walk & to Kofferfabrik music venue, around 10 minutes walk. Dont get me wrong about this hotel, for a weekend stay in Furth it is fine but it just lacks too many of the basic services that I like & expect on a weekend away.

  Terrible and Nightmarish

  This is terrible place to stay and every night you are forced to go back to this place because you did not make the right choice. The location is the only plus factor. The service is non existent. The breakfast is pathetic spread. The rooms are old and terribly kept. The lifts don't work after a certain time. One of the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. Never again..

  The name deceives!

  Travelling to Fürth was definetly a mixed experience, ranging from superb to disappointing. Unfortunately the hotel was part of the bad experience. The initial welcome was friendly, as you have come to expect and I got the parking I requested for my van after a friendly back and forth, but the parking situation in Fürth is overall, terrible, I will not fault the hotel for that. I immediately asked for the code for the free WIFI, and got on after a few tries, signal was weak. I also had to help out another guest with internet as the man in the reception proved unsuccesful in doing so. Anyways, up to my room which was located at the very top, very dark and furniture was worn and looked like it belonged a few centuries back. WIFI was not usable at the room I stayed in, very annoying. I did mention it in the reception and they seemed baffled by this, which I find hard to believe unless their clientel is as old as the furniture and have no use for internet. Bathroom was also very worn, bathtub not particularly clean and it had brown water coming from the faucet. I decided only to take showers in there. The staff cleaning the rooms was very nice and friendly though, and my chambermaid insisted on folding my sweater which was just laying over a chair, very funny. Breakfast is mediocre at best; dry scrambled eggs, sweaty bacon, breadrolls and limited options for cheeses and meat. Yoghurt was bland and with few condiment options. 6th day I came down for the breakfast, there were no eggs, bacon or sausages. I asked the lady working there if that was not available on sundays to which she replied that they had a large group of guests leaving and did not have time to prepare it that day. I said that was not good service to offer and that there was hardly anything to choose from. The next day when it was back, I got a snide comment "if everything was to my liking this morning" which I simply let slide as i was my last day there. The nice chambermaids and the location of the hotel are plusses, but the rest is substandard. First and last time there.
