  Clean and modern, not sure about "quaint"

  Not sure about the "quaint" bit, but a perfectly good option in Gozo. Our room was modern and spotlessly clean. The only downside is temporary, given that the extensive roadworks right outside are scheduled to be completed by May / June. While they are in progress, expect some daytime noise and difficult access / parking. Breakfast is in Giovanni's next door and is adequate. At the same time, Giovanni's is an excellent option for dinner.

  2 Nights in Gozo

  Booked this Hotel for a couple of nights while on Business in Victoria after reading lots of positive reviews. I was not disappointed...the Hotel is situated on a Square adjacent to a magnificent Church and although there is still roadworks taking place outside which is coming to an end it didnt spoil anything. I stayed in Room 1 and my colleague in Room 2...both rooms were spotless and very well presented with modern equipment including Air Conditioning. Breakfast was served in Giovannis Restaurant located next door which was excellent...unfortunately we never got the opportunity to eat an evening meal there although the menu looked very interesting. I am returning to Gozo later in the Year so I will more than likely return to this Hotel.

  Beware extra charges!

  Upon booking (a none refundable room) it said on the website that cots for infants were free. When we checked out they charged us over 10% extra on the room rate for the cot. When we queried this they were argumentative and illogical. "we didn't lie the cot is free but the charge is for the baby to be in the room" and eventually "hotels.com knew at the time you booked, it's their mistake they said free so you have to pay". The baby didn't even get a towel for this fee! Beware, they take advantage of tourists and money is more important that honesty and customer service.

  Two nights in the beautiful island of Gozo

  This boutique hotel is situated in a typical Maltese 'pjazza' and parking is easy to find. The bed was really comfortable and our room had jacuzzi bath tubs. In addition, breakfast was delightful and the hotel staff and Giovanni's (where the breakfast is served) were really helpful.

  One Night Stay - No TV and No Internet

  A few hours after arriving at the hotel, the internet went down and we had no TV service or phone reception. This happened at about 5:45 pm. We phoned the reception 4 times to complain about this and each time we were told that someone was coming to fix the problem shortly. The internet and TV service were back at 10 am the following morning. By this time we had to check out. We asked for some kind of refund, because after all we had paid for a service which we did not get, but up till a week later, we had no response from the management.
