  They can do better

  I was abit dissapointed qith all the little things which are just left there. Broken tiles, not working phone, yellow stain on cieling and also the approach of the staff which is truly not even trying to be professional (except waiter during dinner) Dinners were tasty, bed cozy and are calm.

  Big expectations, but disappointment at the end

  The hotel is situated at Doubí which is about 10 minutes away from the city centre using a car. You can also reach Jet in a couple minutes. Hotel parking is available. A room is simple with a bed, TV, a bathroom and free wifi. What was worse during our stay was a service and a noise. Chambermaids just made the bed, but they didnt clean the room at all. It was even worse after their cleaning. Service during breakfast was strange the first day, but on the other side, the next day's shift was nice. We had a room in the first floor and heard everyone on the stairs or passing by our room and the noise during night was unpleasant. Smell from the kitchen was intense even at the first floor. Expectations about the four stairs hotel was just a way bigger.

  Nice personnel, lack of communication

  After our arrival in the evening the receptionist told us that the restaurant is currently undergoing a reconstruction and that the dinners are going to be served in the nearest Pytloun hotel. The quality of service at least in the restaurant of the said hotel (Pytloun hotel Liberec to be precise) was not on par, but that's not the point of this review. An e-mail or a phone call prior to our visit informing us about the closed restaurant would've been nice. However the personnel of Design hotel was nice and kindly helped with everything. The rooms were a little small but I didn't mind. Everything was clean, tidy and in working order.

  Good stay in Liberec

  Rooms are really clean and elegant, desk service really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with salty and sweet options. On the other side coffee was not good at all. Hotel is in calm area, really good for relax.

  Great stay, quiet relaxation.

  Booked here for our escape to Liberec. While it is away from the downtown bustle (15 minutes drive), is a quiet comfortable stay. The room is smaller, but the bed was very comfortable and we had a restful two nights, even though our room (3rd floor) faced the street. The second window faced Jet and that was a great thrill to discover. The breakfast menu was filling and the variety was plentiful. Staff were great. Friendly and conversed in both Czech and English. We had an issue with the shower that was rectified immediately. The in suite coffee was a great amenity, as was the on site parking. Highly recommend this hotel as a stay in Liberec.
