  A good choice in Yantai

  The Wanda Vista Hotel is located in the center of the city next to a large shopping mall. The lobby is located on the 26th floor. Apartments are occupying the lower floors. The hotel has over 300 rooms. The Deluxe room assigned to me in the 31st floor is spaciously laid out with 40 m2. The comfort is that of 5-star standard room with a comfortable king-size bed, a large desk and a recliner. A kettle for making tea and coffee is provided. WIFI is fast and reliable. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a tub. The room and the bath room were perfectly clean. The breakfast offers a wide selection of Asian and Western dishes. A diner buffet is available for hotel guests at a cost of RMB 149. Despite the large variety, it quality and substance in the preparation of the dishes. The hotel has a Japanese restaurant with à la carte menu. The view from the room is impressive, although my room was without harbor view. It is a shame that the windows were filthy. Hopefully, some large rain showers bring remedy..

  Superior

  This hotel is superior in comfort, cleanliness and courtesy. The views from the room are perfect. One can see the city and the ocean from high above. The meals are nice, with much to choose from. You cant go wrong staying here.

  Excellent time

  What a beautiful hotel, service was very good. Room was excellent and breakfast and diner amazing. And the view was beautiful. Yantai is a beautiful city, the people are very nice. We had a great time.

  Maybe the best hotel

  Stayed here for 3 weeks. Really nice hotel. My Room was at the 41st floor at executive level where you also had access to the lounge. My Room was of good size, which included a small sofa, table and chair for office work and a bathroom which had toilet and shower separate and with a main area with baththub. Big bed and this bed was really really comfortable You had a few dining options at the hotel, but i normally just used the executive lounge, but there was at least also a japanese restaurant. Breakfast selection was massive. A lot of traditional chinese food but also some classic western food as well. Gym, pool and massage room as well at the hotel. Only tried the gym which was good. Staff was really friendly and helpfull. It might have been the best overall hotel i have ever stayed in all.

  Nice but what's that smell?

  Stayed on the 30th floor Deluxe King Room of this nice hotel. Pros 1.Near to Wanda Plaza 2.Good buffet breakfast 3.Lunch n dinner buffet have the same spread which include consist of mini hotpot 4. Spacious room n nice deco 5. Executive lounge serves nice food (dinner only) n drinks. 6. Housekeeping service is prompt 7. Spacious gym Cons 1. Corridor to the rooms smells of sewage 2. Indoor swimming pool is small n cramp when there are about 5 people in the pool. Worse that 1/3 of the pool is divided for 1 lane. A swimming cap is compulsory either buy or rent at ¥20. I paid for rental but swam for 10 mins n gave up cos it wasn't possible to swim a full lap without bumping into people especially kids with parents in the pool. The receptionist at the spa desk felt bad she had charged for the swimming cap as I only swam for 10 mins. 3. A/C is set at 24.5degreesC no way to lower the temperature in the room which can get stuffy. We were informed it's was becos of outdoor temperatures dropping in winter. We requested for a cooler n the housekeeping lady opened the windows which didn't help in our sleep cos we can hear dogs barking, vehicles passing n the smell of the roadside despite being on the 30th floor. 4. Water in the shower room leaks into the main bathroom.
