  2 Star Hotel not 4 Star

  Would not recommend this Hotel, Very disappointed with our stay. The hotel is more interested in charging extras than providing a 4 star service. The hotel is located in a large area with a car park they charge you for daily. i understand that hotels charge for car parking in City centres but at a holiday resort is a joke. The air conditioning in the room is controlled by reception, you have to ask each time you want the temp changing. The overall condition of the hotel is looking tired, it is reminiscent of a 1970's style hotel. The hotel needs a refurb. Service in the Breakfast room was fine, Continental breakfast average ( Fresh toast would be nice ) Wasps flying around the breakfast room very annoying We had 2 rooms, one of which was infested with ants during one of the nights. The hotel refused a room move because they were full the next night ( why a room change could not be done is not acceptable, reception could have give this room to a new arrival and therefore swapped the room ). The hotel blamed us for eating food in the room. The only item of food which was consumed in the room was a Sandwich. if the room did not have a hole in the door frame wall area, then Ants could not get into the room. The hotel would not offer any discount due to this discomfort until i refused to pay the bill in full. After numerous calls to Expedia and arguing, 1 nights stay was taken off the bill. One night i waited 20 minutes for bar service because the hotel receptionist looks after the bar. Over Priced, not worth the money

  Very Nice pool and area but no 4 star service around the pool and no help with suitcases. Very overpriced considering they only serve breakfast. Wi-Fi very difficult and terrace is closed early even though the bar is open but not 4 star quality.towels plentiful and left every morning and staff very Plesant. Really not worth the money.

  un weekend al mare (a weekend get-away)

  The hotel is just a few walks away from the beach which is an advantage but the hotel itself is a bit expensive. the parking area is not included with your reservation but you'll be compensated with a good breakfast every morning ^_^. the personnel are courteous enough. Overall it's good for 1-3 nights of stay, longer than that, it'll become too expensive for my budget.

  Location, location, location!

  We were looking for somewhere on a nice beach for a couple days before moving on in Italy, Hotel Principe was perfect! Hour and a half from Rome, 100m from beautiful golden sandy beach, not too busy plenty of umbrellas and loungers, and a beach bar/restaurant with showers, etc. The hotel was comfortable, good breakfast and a stroll through the pine trees to the beach. Helpful reception staff. Excellent restaurants in nearby Castiglione della Pescaia. Highly recommend it.

  Close to the beach

  A family run hotel very close to the beach of Principina a Mare. Honestly it does not really deserve the 4 stars as it is quite 'oldish'. Breakfast (no other meal is offered by the hotel)is ok but could offer more and better quality food.The jam was Hero industrial,cheese and ham quite not very tasty.Good fresh fruit every morning... Waiters quite stressed and not always available to prepare a proper cappuccino...we were invited to use the 'automatic coffeemachine' :-):-( Nice sauna and turkish bath.Gym also available
